You think I might have to train these top stretchers over to keep em out of the light and keep the light where it needs to be for the majority of the canopy? I'm hoping not as I can still raise the light about 18 inches or so.

If you have room to tie them down that seems like it should be alright. Or you could super crop again?

Yeah, I will definitely try the tie down method first. I have actually thought about supercropping again, and will if need be, but anything I bend over will be blocking a bunch of bud sites below. one of the byproducts of so many topping actions is there's no spot that do not have buds below struggling for light. Kinda screwed if you do and screwed later if you don't. also have had the thought of what might happen if a high stress training method like supercropping were to take place? Could photos be stressed into Herming? I definitely don't want that. I'll probably try to stay to a low stress solution if at all possible this late in the game.

Grow journal entry on day #59. All the plants are looking good except some leaves on one plant are showing inward bending or taco ing. I raised the light up about 6 inches. It is set at 80% and since all the plants are looking fine otherwise I don't think the intensity is too high? Anyhow, here are some pics from the tent right before I head out the door to go to work.

You have direct air movement on the top of your canopy? It could be a touch of heat more than the light intensity. You at full blast on the light? If you have more room maybe raise the light and increase the intensity. My light is at 100% and i have a few colas about 8" from the light. A certain bud is very close but looking great. I realized it is in the path of air movement to help the heat exit the top of my tent. There is a bud that was 2" lower than that high bud that started doing that same shit, taco a bit. I redirected a different fan to blow just over the top of that bud and the taco stopped and bud goes back to normal. My taco was heat related as opposed to intensity. Maybe that helps?

I think you are right. Both my fans are low blowing up & 1 on top blowing on the light driver. I been thinking about getting a couple more fans up top. I'll order some today.

No worries. I just felt I needed to explain that I did "train em young". I don't know how else you could get em to spread out in hydro where you can't drill holes or poke rods into the soil. ?
I drilled small holes in the rim about the outside of the buckets and then used the standard wire used for training plants. It was an after thought though so it was kind of half assed. Once in cut the girls in there down I'm going to drill all the way around.

I actually thought about doing that myself, but I wanted the ability to pull the plants out when I did water swaps. Which only worked for a while till I did trellis nets. I might do that next grow along with my rods..idk

Well,
My plants have officially made it to day #61. Here's a few pics. I turned the light down some this morning as the canoe or taco seems to be persisting on some of the top leaves. I figure i will see if this makes it stop. I also plan to install a couple of fans up above the canopy this weekend to hopefully combat some of the heat.

The sister plant to me late Hermie is getting real frosty. Much more than the other 2 plants that are different strains. Have to zoom in.

Nothing crazy to report, just bud sites starting to fatten up a bit. Getting very frosty. Still have a long way to go, but they are heading in the right direction. These pics are for me as much or more than for you. I will need to be able to go back and review the progress as it happened and be able to see the dates. Thanks for indulging me to keep this journal.
