Because someone like yourself come on here about one a week and tries to act like a guru with all kinds of knowledge and they are just plain opinionated. And their accomplishments or results are without merit. Basically they are full of Kaka. So get over yourself.
I agree but I get what he's doing. He means no harm even though you are correct. He doesn't understand all the bro science that gets incorporated into the stream of "Truth" that gets perpetuated on the web and that he is unwittingly being part of that vicious cycle.

It's fine to put up your opinion but make sure you state it as such otherwise those with lesser knowledge than you will assume it is the truth and accept it as such while those that have been able to acquire more empirical knowledge can sift through opinion and decide if it has merit or not. Too many people take what is said on the net as the unadulterated truth when 99% of the time it's just some blowhard trying to be a keyboard hero.

Hello everyone I have a ? For whoever wants to answer.lol.i wanna start growing my own plants ,Im prob only going to do 2 starting off but it's been 20years since I attempted growing and i know it's allot products out there so my question is what would be the easiest and lowest maintenance strain should I do to get back into the game again.??should I choose something small and auto flower
I have started several people off growing. The successful people put in the time to make a quality product.
Strain wise I would recommend Blue Dream
Soil or coco =Soil brand Fox Farms Ocean Forest. Or Vitallity.
Watering is the critical problem with soil. The best solution for new comers I have found is the empty pot method. Get an extra pot that is exact as the others you are using for each potion of growth. Fill it with the same amount of soil as the plants. If you think your plants need water, pick up the empty pot first. Do the pots with plants way about the same than water. If they weight more no water. Cannabis likes their roots dry in soil.
Pick a good light for your grow size. I am not going to get into lights on the open forum as it always leads to arguments

Nutrients let’s keep it simple. Just botanicare pure blend pro veg and bloom. Run the veg for the first 2 weeks of flower. Master this than start moving up in degree of skill required and difficultly.

Agreed. Keep it simple at first.

As far as the watering, it's pretty easy to learn when they need water. The method Anthem noted is a good one. I usually would water with around 20% runoff then let them dryback for a few days before watering again weighing the pot to see if it has lightened up.

I try and keep it simple with nutes too. GH Floranova Grow and Bloom, Hormex, Cal Mag and some silicate. Some Bud Candy the first few weeks of flower.

Thanks for getting us back on track Anthem and Roots.

Yeah, Blue Dream is pretty easy to grow.

@Respect79 there is a ton of info here if you like to click and read:

A guy by the name of Homebrewer on RIU had some posts that I came across claiming that you can use a veg nute like DynaGrow or Foliage Pro, Maxigrow etc til the end. No bloom. I thought this must be a myth, but was intrigued. Once I tried it for a single run it was like a switch flipped in my head. Every single thing everyone told me about how you need PK etc for flower was instantly questionable as I saw every single fan leaf completely green and healthy until the day I chopped by using just a single grow nutrient the whole way through. Tried the Maxibloom and Floranova KISS method, nothing came close to FP or DynaGrow.

I know Im a bit late to respond to this, but there are many mixed signals concerning the usage of Bloom nutrients. To be honest, I'm totally confused and dont know who to believe.

The president of Dyna-grow admitted that bloom nutrients arent needed, and the company sells them for customer demand. If people think they need them, thats more for Dynagrow to sell, but he admits the ratios arent needed.

Uncle Ben (a long time poster and grower) advises against using them as well as many others...

I'm still not sure. 75% of the recommended feed charts use bloom nutrients (and bloom boosters) and many seem to have success with them...

So, for me the jury is still out. I'm not really sure what to do during my next flower. I may continue using Foliage Pro (Veg) 3-4 weeks into flower and then add a light feeding of Bloom nutrients, ( maybe 1/2 Foliage Pro, 1/2 bloom).. Its confusing because many say high levels of Nitrogen is bad during flower, but I'm still not sure.
