2.3 grams / sq. ft. of planting area is ok with the packs. More than that and lab tests from my microbiologist show inhibition. If you decide to use more wait a month before introducing the packs since the neem cake will have all broken down by then.

So a small amount is ok to use in conjunction.

Ive read neem cake inhibits fungal and microbe growth, but ive top dressed with neemresource's cake several times while running caps teas to keep fungus gnats at bay in a commercial GH in the sierra foothills, I had fuzzy white mold looking fungus swarm the top of each pot by the next morning. It enhanced fungus growth in my eyes, but I cant vouch for microbes and bacteria strains. I just wouldnt use it again simply because it is the strongest, most pungent foul smelling odor that doesnt go away for a few days to a week.
