I'm smiling big today!

An associate is throwing in the towel, and she decided to share her rarest cultivar with me. This clone-only selection came from the hands of the infamous Neville, direct from Amsterdam. My associate and her brother have kept this going for a while now, but neither one of them grow anymore, so thankfully she shared this gem.

I've been trying to get my hands on this cut for several years now, but they've hoarded this one for a long time, now it's my turn to grow this one. Once I get to know her, maybe this cut will be a lot more available, in CO at least.
------------------------------------------

I'm curious who here has run Gravity?
I'd love some feedback, or any suggestions.
Nutrient requirements...Flowering Time...Outside grow possible?

Mostly, I'd love to hear from anyone who has even smoked this one, as it seems rather rare, in my circles anyway.
I've read this was supposed to be reworked by MNS, but haven't heard anything on that since about 07 I think. This is from the original breeding project

Information on Gravity is pretty hard to come by.
I was told 56 days and no nutrients above 1200. I always have a hard time believing any plant is done in under 60 days, but we shall see, I'll try her at 56, 65 and 70 days to see what I like best.

As far as lineage goes, what I can find on the internet contradicts the information I've been given.
Internets say it is Nothern Lights #1 x Afghani.
But I am told it is G-13 x Afghani- which is supposed to be direct from Neville's mouth- so I'll try to drop a line to cats over at Mr. Nice and see if I can get this verified.

I'm so fucking excited!!
This same cultivar has been grown for over 20 years, held tightly in the hands of very few... I feel quite fortunate that I am able to raise her.

Holy shit, that is really neat. Congratulations, that is really an awesome score. How many strains have been held for 20+ years without being awesome?

Found this bro.....

Also saw it's a 67 day flower period

Thanks Sky!

My homie is convinced G13 is in there somewhere as per Neville's word, but who knows really. Although it's of little real consequence, I do hope to receive an answer. I dropped a line with MNS helpdesk so hopefully they get back to me, but it may be the wrong avenue of approach. We shall see...

Found this on strainfinder:

Clone Only Strains - Gravity

Gravity floated its way to T.H. Seeds on a long journey. In 1999 it started her in Amsterdam in limited batches from Neville and Shanti Baba. This multi hybrid indica proved itself by being kept alive for years only to return to Amsterdam, this time as a clone...

Nevil: Gravity was a 4 way indica I made for Sensi using an extremely potent Hash Plant x NL1 as the mother. There were a couple of versions. The effect was seriously heavy. Gravity!

TH Seeds claims they used this clone to cross with an afghani to make their Zero Gravity seeds

Thanks Fractal, I feel pretty damn lucky, if I do say so.

I would like to tentatively say the version I have is the (Hash Plant x NL#1) X G13 while I await a response from MNS. But as far as I've read G13 is another clone only, so that is likely to be wrong.

The mystery continues...

More searching came up with the following:

Since there are a roller coaster of stories going about, re the G13.
Whatever the stories are that have entertained the punters till now probably all have a little truth mixed with myth. All with merit.
What I know in a nut shell is that the G13 plant was taken from the research facility some time ago and Nev managed to get it as a clone back to NL.There many things were tried without very much consistency, except with the skunk male to the G13.It was the only real crossing that gained results along a semi consistent line. That was quite some years back.Since then many people believe that buying the G13 released crosses and breeds perpetuated the story. However the story was for me all a little out of proportion. It usually is the product of many people dreaming of catching the big fish....

....Quote:
It was during Nevil's 83/84 collection trips to the US that he
aquired, from Sandy W the only G-13 cuttings to ever leave Sandy's
garden. Nevil returned to Holland
and made three crosses with G-13 @ the Seed Bank.
G-13x Haze (in catolog only 1 yr, discontinued, no extent P1's)
G-13x Hashplant (discontinued, currently Sensi Seeds: mr nice)
G-13x Skunk#1 (last and, according to Nevil, the best of the G
crosses.

So it seems the mom is NL#1 X Hash Plant, and the dad is likely to be one of the above. I'm guessing the missing ingredient is the Skunk#1, due to the leaf structure. This is what MNS help desk had to say:

Gravity is a 4 way indica hybrid

For a four-way indica, this plant certainly has thinnish leaves, so I'll have to wait to see if MNS replies to the other message I sent, and if that doesn't work, maybe I can ascertain something from the taste/smell profile.

There is more pages on a thread to go through with info on G13, so maybe I can find something there.

What up NT! Just found this thread. Great score man, hows she doing for ya? Were you able to gather any more info on the strain from MNS? Pics? Congrats on the hook up homie, i hope you are doing great. Peace and be well brother! Motiv

Thank Brother Motiv!

Just put her into flower for the first time about a weeks ago, should have worthwhile photos in the coming months. Still no official word on what the fourth ingredient could be. So best I can figure it is (NL#1 x Hashplant) X (G13 x ??) and ?? could equal haze hash plant or skunk #1.

On appearance I want to say it is a g13 haze hybrid, since the fan leaves are rather slender, but that is pure assumption.

Zero Gravity was released a few years back in seed form by a breeder that used
The Gravity Clone to make F1 seed.
THSeeds I believe were the distributors. Shantibaba even said the breeder asked his permission to use the name.
Have not heard much about it since.
good luck with your find

scorpion

I always thought that gravity was AfgT X G13,HP,NL1
(if you notice NL1 is the only male line in the hybrid, all others are female clones)

Thanks for the info!

I assumed a Haze male as I also noticed the mostly female plants..

Also, could you offer a bit more info of AfgT please?

Did a quick search and it seems as though AfganT is a selection out of the Maple Leaf indica family
