DTHF x Katanga was not exactly what i was looking for, this was worth the rerun though. All clones were culled. Sister to the one above, straight cherry, no licorice. Cherry like cough syrup start to finish. Plant grows well, big and chuncky. Flavor is there. Run time 12 weeks. She has no real KICK though, none of them really did.

I have had, and do have, some really nice plants, that finish 3 weeks earlier and pack a punch. These are not it. Could be luck of the draw and what I want is still in there, law of averages right? Not willing to go 12 weeks again to find out. There is enough flavorful mids out there already and I have other seeds to get to.

(TK/NL5/Haze x Lime) X Mountain Temple and Black Lime Special Reserve F5 X Mountain Temple on the way, as well as Strawberry Goji X Sour Widow coming soon. Stay tuned.

Mt. Temple cross here. I got this out of a mixed bag of seeds. I have them separated into the (TKNL5Haze X Lime) X Mt. Temple and the Black Lime Special Reserve X Mt. Temple lines, but I also have a small bag of leftover seeds that's a mix of both so I don't really know which exact line it is. I can get into the properly separated, labeled, and stored bags of seed, this mix bag is just for testing, actually just to have them lying around for when I have some room to grow them, so I did. No expectations, just a quick peek at what they are. Looks like a killer SoG line. Looks like it needs further exploration, smells like it too, HEAVY on the lime, not lemon or orange zest. Margarita would be close.

I need an edit on the Black Lime Special Reserve line used it was my Useful Seeds F5 of the line, not from Freeborn Selections. It comes from the Freeborn genes but was not bred forward by Freeborn, but by Useful. RIP brother, your work is still working.

Some testers of the Super Silver Haze project from above. Just checking out what's what and any interesting plants will be harvested early and revegged. Planning on 10 weeks harvest window for the plants, so an eight week harvest of the interesting plants should reveg np with a fat shot of Nitrogen. I wasn't expecting a lot of diversity it being 98 cup winner SSH x F3 SSH male from original stock, but it has some....

This is hazy haze for sure

this has to be an NL5 leaner, please pardon the calcium issues

Couple more testers in the wings before the open pollination seed run. I got to try to open up the bottle neck of the one female I got of the original seeds. Hopefully multiple females this time will do it and then I can steer to what I want.

Good stuff! You're doing some experimentation like I'm about to. Never grown a male out before, but I want to collect some pollen from my AKBB stuff, to impregnate a flower here and there with each grow. Any tips?

How was the TKNL5Haze/Black Domina smoke? I got the TKNL5Haze TK dominant. Have no idea what to expect lol.

My experience with males has been a little goes a long way. I have stored pollen I have not used, YET so I can not say with certainty what is and isn't true. I stored it as recommended, not in a freezer but a cool super dry place, vacuum sealed, for when I want to use it. I do not store a lot of pollen, just ones that are outliers. After seeing plenty of plants you get an eye for, that's unusual, doesn't mean good or bad, just unusual. One thing I did do was store the pollen in separate bags, so I can use as needed without having to pull out the whole lump.

All the TKNL5haze plants I have run are fire for effects. The breeder wasn't lying, all are strong. Crosses are the same. I would say more stoned than high. At times you don't realize how good it is if you smoke a lot of it, its when you switch off to something else and come back that you're like, that hits different, or smoke something else all day and then smoke it and it cuts right through the ceiling the other couldn't.

Awesome, thanks for the low down on what to expect. Sounds like the type of shit you wanna smoke on a beach lol. I only popped 3 seeds, hoping for 1 female because I also have Chocolope and Hawaiian Cat Piss to grow. Not sure what I'd do if they're all females haha no room.

So are you hunting down old school genetics too? Find anything that takes ya back to 80s/90s? I had a SD from a S1 of Sour Power (the cut) and it was straight up grapefruit and fuel. So gassy I was crying tears of diesel knowing I didn't clone it lol. Wish I could find something skunky instead of sweet.

I wouldn't say hunting, but I have collected things over the years. My unicorn is an orange skunk i had circa 88/89 tasted like Valencia oranges, not orange zest or tangerine but straight sweet orange and it had power. I'm hoping its in C&C Citrus 25. He has a lot of old school stuff and its my next project. I am revegging 2 SSH plants that I hope to throw in when I do the seeds.

Matter of fact here is the reveg from the plants above. The second one was my favorite, resin production was through the roof, both had similar taste and smell.

Damn they are doing great! Do you find revegging quicker than taking clones or is it a method so you don't have to mess with clones because...then you'd have to clone a bunch of plants until the mothers flower to see what you got?

How long does it take to reveg say if you want to snag another 2 ounces for instance?

Reveg varies to much to put numbers on, but usually the reveg plant has way more branches than when it originally grew from seed. Like I said above reveg is pretty straight forward, harvest a couple weeks early and hit the plant with a fat N boost. So looking at the plants above the one with multiple branches above was probably a 11 or 12 week plant, harvesting at 8 weeks was a month early so it reveg'd quickly, the frosty one was probably a 9 or 10 week plant and it was almost spent so it took longer to reveg with less branching.

My approach has changed on cloning, I save cloning for proven plants, reveg to sort a population. Say you have 6 plants, with two standouts. Reveg the 2 standouts then clone them. You can rerun the clones and keep the seed plant mothers till you see what the clones do. Clones can vary, so rerun clones to make sure its what you want. After that you can flower the mother for a fat harvest, since you now know the clone is proven.

That's an awesome idea! Only part I don't understand is growing the clones out to see what they do... won't they be an exact copy of the mother? For instance I've grown gg clones a good handful of times, from different mothers, and they are always the same terps and strength and bud structure. Maybe I misunderstood?

No, you got it.

Remember though, a clone of a PROVEN clone like GG is what I am after. That the clone, down the line, of a clone (various mothers), not the original seed plant, is just as good as the original.

Could I be completely off base with how I do things, absolutely. I have seen too many anomalies at this point though and this is how I work. Opinions and results may vary dependent on grower, medium,.......yada yada yada
