We had a shed delivered and installed in late December, I insulated the walls, connected two 20 amp circuits, installed a tent which is being used to separate my veg growing area.

It seems like it all came together quickly.

I dropped by the local dispensary and picked up a clone to start in there.

The adventure begins, again 😂

Temps are staying close to 70 over night and 90 during the day.
I need to close the gap a bit, but I’m getting there.

The humidity is my issue. Too low. I need to raise it.
I was hoping to get by without a humidifier, but I think that’s going to be my next addition.

The clone is adjusting well to its new environment.
I bought along a few friends that might appreciate the veg area.

I do have a question about topping and cropping.

Should I still cut off the first three branches and top it after the fifth similar to a seedling start?

It seems like a stupid basic question, but I wanted to make sure I’m not missing anything.

Your branch growth is already mature [alternating] so topping will not have same effect [ multiple tops] as on a younger plant.
I would LST or super crop a clone myself.

Ok, been about three weeks since I updated the current effort.

My little clone was 4 inches tall and had six leaves on 2/7.
Today she measures about 18x18 inches across and 15 inches tall.

I have FIMMED it and currently using my horrible LST skills to square her up and level up the canopy.

I’m planning to move her into the flower tent in about two more weeks. That’s 6 weeks of vegetation since I bought her home.

I feel like I’m still battling a slight nitrogen deficiency, but can’t seem to fix it.

Some days she looks green, some days a little chlorotic, but still seems to be growing quickly, so maybe it’s the lighting that is throwing me?

My silver thicket loves the environment in the vegetation area. It’s easily doubled in size in a few weeks.
Hey there, nice stuff I like the plastic pots...where did you come by them? I have milk crates but the gaps are too large for planters.

I’m an absolute fan of the ink bird controller.

I was fighting temperature and humidity spikes and dips until I got the controller with a temperature probe and a humidity sensor.

Since then, temperatures and humidity have remained locked to 79 degrees and 65% RH. Temperature varies by no more than 3 degrees and RH by 5%.

It’s like using a calculator when I was counting on my fingers before. Magic.

One day I want to design a light controller that will ramp up/down automatically and start with IR, slowly add red, yellow then white to start the day and reverse this process in the evening before lights out.

I don’t know if it will make any difference, but sounds like an interesting experiment.

My girlfriend bought them at hobby lobby. She thinks they’re in the storage area.

They are just about perfect for coir, a little bit gets out but not much. I wish they were just a bit larger, but it’s almost a cubic foot, so it works well for smaller plants.
and to hold fabric pots in I like the fabric pots but they dry out so fast I've kept them flat on the trays and I don't like doing that those would lift it just a bit and they'd also be great to tie down limbs with,.

I have been running into a mild nitrogen deficiency that I couldn’t control on my initial nutrition line, dyna-gro and bloom.

I tried everything I could, but in two different locations and two different strains, I had mild yellow blush on the leaves and nothing worked.

I changed to flora nova grow and bloom series. Plants in both locations love it.

I’ll be flipping her into 12/12 light cycle this week, I’m worried about running out of head room in the tent so I don’t want it getting too large before stretching.

This is a different plant, growing in a different area, closer to the sf Bay Area.

It’s a Tangerine Dream auto, about five weeks from seed.

My daughter has found some pre flowers so we’re on the ledge, ready to take the step.

Looking good!

Go to the bottom of the page and you'll see "touchscreen light controller"

The "sunrise/sunset" feature was my idea! 🥸

Okay, “flipped the switch”, at 9 am this morning.

I moved her from the veg area into the tent today.
The picture is literally as I set her in. Didn’t even have the lights turned on yet.
I don’t know if it’s bro-Sci or true, but I started the flip to flower with a dark period.

My intention is to go three days with no light and just enough nutrients to not let the coco dry out.

Does the dark period at the beginning of flower actually accomplish anything useful?
