If I was going to do anything besides straight out change my light cycle which I don't, I would do like GNick does and reduce hours weekly before the flip after x amount of time in veg.

She started 12/12 yesterday, flora nova grow/bloom +massive +epsom salt +great white.

40 second drip, 6:15am, 11:30am and 3:30pm. About 4 liquid oz runoff.
Lights on 6 am, off 6pm
81 - 84 degrees f
58 % rh

The lights put out more heat than I expected, I might start pulling outside air rather than recycling in the lung room.

An inbound atmospheric river makes me wonder if I’ll ever be able to find a stable temperature/humidity range

Plant looks happy, it apparent that the stretch is on. Yesterday, most terminal buds were below my cross strut support. Today, nearly all are about an inch or more above it

My mesh net is about 10” above current height, I presume I’ll see about a 15-20” stretch (75-100%). Is that within reason?

It’s getting fun, there’s something to look at every time I see her!

Hey looks good, I think a lot of us fight the humidity. I'm either adding or removing humidity year round, there's very little time through the year where they're at peace with the natural environment here on Nova Scotia's south shore......at least you have some heat...I have to add that too...... smoke one that always helps with my worry symptoms

Dehumidifier in the lung room.....

Do you have central air in your home? If so you should be able to control temperature in the lung room which in turn will control tent temps.

How do you like the FloraNova? I use it and I've had good results with it.

How much insulation did you put in the shed? Is there an A/C regulating the temps?

Yes, a dehuy and air conditioner are in the plans.

No air conditioning for the lung room, it’s a shed, not in the house. Inkbird is helping.

I’m impressed with flora nova. The plant here and the one in the bay area appear happier green than with the previous salt.

No AC, one inch of styrofoam with silver siding. It helps, but it could use more.

As much as I like the performance I also like the convenience of an all in one solution.

I’m in LA so I get actual heat in the summer but even then I worry that 1” of foam isn’t going to cut it when your shed is in the sun during your (delightful) summer months of 75 degrees.

I’m growing in a uninsulated garage and even with 4” of foam I’m probably going to shutdown for a few months. The electricity bill killed me last summer.

My shed is in the central sierra foothills.
100+ degrees for months on end in late spring, summer and early fall. RH is measured in negative numbers during summer.
This is place is about as temperate as west hell. I’m excited to try an outdoor seed somewhere in the garden. But I digress!

I built out a garage with 2" R-tech and it stayed ice cold during the summer in the middle of the SFV. It had a 2 ton mini split cooling 6 double ended lamps.

My apologies, I thought I read Bay Area.

You’re fucked!

You need a 1ton mini split and professional spray foam insulation. These are the two items I wish I spent money on before the wife starting reigning things in. Seal that thing up and run some c02.

I want to grow outdoors badly! I’ve been growing random plants in a spare tent indoors and also inside a lil cheap greenhouse outdoors. The plants outdoors always look bigger and healthier.

Looks awesome!

Damn so I probably would be flying if I got the 1 ton split. Im rocking a modified 1200Watt portable split A/C until it breaks.

Do you notice massive spikes in electricity during summer?

It wasn't my grow per se. I built it for a senior that wanted to get into growing to supplement her measly SS. Because of her limited funds we also went "off grid" with electrical since her home allowed it.

Friend of mine had a warehouse in Lincoln Park where he was growing. He called me in to see how he could make the grow profitable as power bills were killing his margin. The only thing I changed was the time lights went on. That alone saved him around $3,000 a month.

Not sure if you know but LADWP has time rates. IIRC, from 7pm to 10am is their base rate. He had lights coming on at 11am which was the most expensive time of the day. I switched his lights on time to 8pm. I also showed him that big amp pulls will raise his bill since they use your highest demand as the rate charge for the month so we changed the lights on schedule to turn on a table at a time in 2 minute increments thereby reducing the overall amp pull. Each DE light pulled around 9 amps on start up and ran continuously at 5 amps. If we lit them all at the same time he would be pulling almost 400 amps at one shot(40 raptor hoods) vs 18. Big difference.

I do have another plant growing at my place in the Bay Area.
It’s looking healthy too.

Yeah I need AC for the warm weather in the foothills though.

Today I can just begin to see that “bright” green of early stretch. Future bud sites are brilliant green, the growth is noticeable overnight .

It feels funny having a relatively small plant in a much larger tent, but I expect the stretch will take care of that. I’m hoping that I don’t regret not going a foot taller on the tent, I see growing rates that could push close to the light of it continues too long.

Well, since there was room in my veg area, and my local dispensary had one clone left, I figured it was meant to be.

It was highly root bound, and a bit chlorotic, and really dry, so I gave her a home in Recipe 420 soil, I amended it with bio char and perlite, approximately 60:20:20 respectively.

I will start with rainwater only in a few days when she’s ready for a drink. I’ll ultimately use flora nova grow for about 8 weeks, if I can keep her tame for that long.

Hey there, nice stuff I like the plastic pots...where did you come by them? I have milk crates but the gaps are too large for planters.

I use them outside double stacked. Top one gets a tote bag or 5 to 7 gallon soft pot. Works fine.

(Pic of pic sorry)
First two indoor grows the same. Nice that I could add or remove crates as need to make the plant higher or lower. Saved my back.

Might be good for bottom feeding in a saucer as well but don’t know.

Need them for wifey’s outside garden so I switched to SCROG. Love it!
