Interesting run-down! I knew the main differences between all of them but again, this is way more detailed. As usual... lol! THX! And speaking of trichs; here's some little close-ups of the 2 skunks. I'm pretty satisfied for now :love1:

Awesome info from everyone. Yea I was going off the breeders suggestion until now. Only because I'm growing to my space and I'm growing to reach that certain high I want whether it be heady or body. I prefer body though. I kept reading and seeing that you want all well most of the pistils to kinda curl up towards the flower. I'm going to grab a jeweler's loupe today though. Awesome info:smoking::cool:

Good afternoon everyone.. Hope y'all have a good day.. I went into the closet this morning and God I love the feeling to be able to do this stuff lol.. Anyways, I ended up stringing the ChemDog up because we were having leaning problems.. Well I guess I gotta tighten her strings because she has really gained weight..

I also wanna give an update on the Honey Boo Boo as well.. She got a little tall a few weeks ago so I'm fighting to keep her short.. She is filling out good though.. IMO she is a little bare but it could be normal for this strain IDK.. I keep reading up on her just about everyday.

Also the Neville Haze clone I got is doing great.. I ended up putting it in soil though.. I seem to be doing awesome in soil so I'm still nervous to jump to coco.. I get it that they are strong plants and all that but I guess no one wants to watch their baby die lol..

Well here's a few pics of each

Oh, you're switching to coco? Cool! I don't know anything about coco so that will be pretty cool to follow how you'll do!
And yeah, you're doing really good! It's a pleasure to see your plants grow like that. I bet it's kinda cool feeling to know they're bending down because them nugs get to big... Lol!

Mine is starting to pump big times. I'm so stoked right now. One of the biggest buds I've ever had. If she keeps on doing that thing, the head will be as large as that can... Really nothing special for the good growers I know but I'm proud as fuck and sooo longing to hit that up! Lol! It's a good feel to see the plants are fine somehow. It's like a relationship don't you think?

Hell yea dude lol.. Sometimes my girl says stuff to me because I show them so much attention.. Dude it's just like a relationship.. They feel your vibes and share your energy.. Atleast that's how I feel with em.. Very nice plump buds ooopsi.. I'm gonna grab a soda can and hold it up to compare.. Drop some photos on here of your baby's anytime @Ooopsi I love bud porn :eyepiece:..

I'm not for certain if I wanna jump in completely into coco.. I've been thinking about running 2-3 pots in each.. I seem to be doing awesome with soil so why change it, ya know.. I just see the results with coco and how they explode

soil is a little more forgiving than coco, but both have merit for MJ. There is nothing between them IMO in terms of speed etc, I grow in all sorts, they are all much the same but they do require different treatments and usually, one will resonate with you best and this tricks people in to imagining hydro is faster than soil. This is BS and If it aint broke is a good way to work. There is no need to change because others say they get xyz better in blah. But a great grower will master all in time, there is no rush but opportunity :-) both of you are doing great work, the skunk buds are righteous bro

Yea that's why I'm gonna stick with soil.. I wanna try that black gold and happy frog and try em out.. Possibly build my own soil.. I do like how they grow in coco though.. I have a buddy who is doing DWC and that seems pretty cool.. Like @Ecompost said, if it ain't broke don't try and fix it.. Thanks for slappin me back into line lol.. Sometimes I tend to get ahead of myself

Looking awesome! A trick I learned on keeping stretch to a minimum, pinch the stem that you don't want to stretch anymore...your honey boo boo, that branch that is taller than the rest, if it were mine, I would pinch the stem between nodes. Everything is looking awesome, though brother! :)

Thank you.. Now in pinching it, I'm assuming it's telling the plant to spend energy elsewhere.. What do I do with what is left above the pinch mark? Will it just die? I'm always up to learn new stuff about farming

You are going to squeeze the stem with the pads of your fingers to gently crush it, not putting any dent lines in it. You will feel it crunch between your fingers and the stem will go soft where you compressed it. It will all live, usually they bend over and the leaves will turn themselves up to refind the light.

Something else I do...for me, its all plants and this is our Orchid. Its grown using only Better Organix KAMINO and never stops flowering. If you grow plants that have flowers, then KAMINO is it. We can switch on the bloom, delay the aging. We can keep plants in bloom and we can produce sugar sweet flora, bursting with color

anywhere your plant is damaged, it will send growth hormones to repair, Anywhere you damage a plant, esp with a cut or split, you increase the risk of mold and or pathogens.
When you pinch, you will often notice a knuckle appear and increased growth above this point, usually thicker too, it is rarely fatal but it will as ever contain some risk. Some of these low rent hybrids dont take much to start putting out male flowers, so my advice is always try, but be sure you document so you can reflect for next time.

Bending plants allows us to level a canopy. The flatter we can have our plants, the better access light has to penetrate more flowering sites with equal energy. An even canopy is an attempt to even the spread of light energy, so more of the plant gets a high red light and less of the plant is in shade. Pinching and topping is used to help plants branch outwardly and so restrict vertical growth, or rather, we put upward energy across more than a central stem.
Most plants have something called apical dominance, eg, it will always send the majority of growth hormones to a central point, taking the tips from plants, breaks this and allows the plant to divert energy more evenly.
You can use it to help you shape the plant to better suit your growing space.
The trick is to even the light and really pinching is a method used for this, but it does have the added benefit of toughening up most plants too. Knowing you can thicken your plant by pinching or twisting the stem without completely breaking it off is useful. Sometimes we can use this technique to stiffen weaker poles.
Pinching and topping will mean you need to spend time allowing your plant to recover, some plants will not like to be pinched or topped or fimmed or whatever else. be sure to document each, so that any repeat strain grows are better guided with your own data
Hope that helps

Thank you for breaking it down Barney style for me @Ecompost & @TrubldBreeze .. I've been reading up on bending and LST for a new way to get as much light as I can onto the plant .. I gotta build Honey Boo Boo a new box today so once I get that done I'm gonna throw up some picks on how I wanna bend her etc. Thank you
