Hi to all of you farmers. Its my first day here on this site and I thought I would put a post up in here. I have been growing marijuana for about a year now and have really started to get it dialed in. I am somewhat of a specialist in doing big grows in small places. My Current grow room is in a crawlspace under my stairs. The height of the area is only 3ft4in. In this space I run 2 strains at a time im my custom shallow dwc tubs. To deal with my heigh restraints, I use the Scrog method and it has worked very well for me. Above my screen is a pair of Ushio 600w lamps in SuperSun II reflectors running off of a Lumatek dual 600w balast. The room also has a 1150btu portable a/c unit and I am running the Hydrogen Minigen off of a setinel co2 controller. Here are a few pics for a little backround on my grows starting with the most recent and working my way back.

This is my current grow of Piss(a local strain of Cat Piss x Norther Lights) and Blue Kush(a clone only BC strain). I am running 4 Piss clones on the left side and 5 Blue Kush clones on the right.

This is my last grow. I ran all Blue Kush. There were 3 clones on the left side and 6 on the right. I ended up yielding 2 pounds of premium dank and 3 oz of hash.

My third grow was a test and a disaster. I wanted to see what my yields would be with a single large plant and at this piont and earlier I was growing under a single 400w. I ran with mango, but the grow was riddled with spider mites and barely yielded an oz.

My second grow was my first run with the Blue Kush. It was 6 small clones under my 400w light, but this is when the spider mite issues began. I sprayed all kinds of baddness on these girls but their ultimate demise was when I added General organics Bio Root and CalMag to my fox farm lineup and it murdered my entire crop in less than 12 hours.

My first grow in my personal opinion was way above the standard for most peoples first grow. I ran feminised White Widow seeds that were generously given to me by a friend. It was 6 plants 3 each of 2 different pheno types and yielded my 10oz.

I also grew a single outdoor Piss past summer that yielded 14oz, but there was a ton of rain for the last 2 weeks before harvest and over half of the bud was filled with bud mold. So all of the biggest, bets nugs were garbage. What was left was truely enjoyable though and I wish I had a space to grow outdoors. Here are a few pics of that

Well, thats my entire gorwing career wrapped up in about a page. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. On a side note, the outdoor plant had a few spider mites on it that I wasnt aware of at the time, and thats what led to the infestation of my indoor garden, so remember all of you new growers, its always a good idea to wash up and change your clothes if you have been outside and are going into your indoor garden. It cost me more time and effort than I'd like to admit to get rid of those little spawns of satan.

i can see all your pic's brother and there fantastic out-side the burnt up one SHIT HAPPEN'S...sweet ass HASH BALLS too i can never seem to get my hash to look like that....i use bags but all my hash comes out in HARD SLAB'S not those smooth looking balls i see every one else putting out...

and im shocked to see your only useing a few clones, the first time i saw your pics i told the GF that you were most likely runing atleat 30 cuts in there....that scroging is really paying off for you dude....

if you have only been growing a couple years then ya your way above the learning curve for sure...ive been at this for 5-6 years and cant seem to get yields like that, i must be doing something wrong in my space and growing TECH...i may have to learn something from you on your TECH...

When I saw piss I thought I better check this out. Catpiss is some good meds. I miss smoking it. Was thinking of hunting for her again. Have you tried catpiss in comparison to piss?

Sucks that GO killed your girls. Was that using them in dwc? Did you use the entire line? or tell go they killed your crop? figure out why?

The last grow is a nice yield. Props to you, that is worth being proud of. What type of nute you run on the last run?

Thanks Jaws. Yeah, I love the low numbers, and a lot of people think there is more plants in there than there is. Even when I run 6 under a single light, they are very small. When they go in and get the flip they are barely rooted and between 4-6" tall. The trick with the hash is the way you dry it. If you let it dry real slow, completely natural, you usually endup with powder to hard chunks. If you give it a light press with paper towels and get it semi-dry and let it dry out naturally after for a few days it turns out more like mine, and if you give it a good hard press with paper towels until you can get any more moisture out and let it sit of 12 hours and then ball it up, you get real nice sticky balls but they are usually darker in color, more of a dark brown with the consistancy of putty. If you hand work that brown ball for about 5 minute it turns back to the nice blond stuff, but will gradually turn back to brown over about a 2 week period. And just because you dont get those yields doesnt mean you are doing something wrong, there could just possibly be a better way of doing it(which there always is). For example, I think my room is pretty sweet, but if I had the ability to raise and lower the lights instead of just dimming the ballast, it would make my life a lot easier. And my next upgrade is what I think will make my room more efficient. I am planning on using a 1/2hp chiller and water cooling my room, lights, minigen, and reses. I think just getting the res temps to stay below 70F could potentially make a noticable difference in my yield. And for the learning curve, I just hit my 1 year mark of growing in June, so I still have a lot to learn as you could tell by all of my breeding questions. So thank you very much for your input on all of that. And I love to try to help people, so if your ever looking for suggestions to improve on your grow(Which Im sure is better than you made it sound here)I'd be happy to share what has helped my output and health of my girls.

Damn strait. I have a few buddies that grow and we always compare. I always offer to help them but their egos always get in the way. Of my 3 friends, they all run 100w lights, and they only harvest 75% of what I do, and thats in nice full size rooms with light movers and custom nutrients mixed personally for them by a chemist. Thanks bro. The hash is almost too strong. I generally bake with it unless Im looking to get strait up trashed. Luckily I used some pretty sweet industrial bug bombs about 4 months ago and havent seen the little basterds since. And its kinda nuts what can kill a whole crop, seems like there is way too many ways. Thanks for swinging by.

Thanks for the Welcome. I try to show it all so that if I mess up, others can avoid my mistakes. I personally have never got to try Cat Piss, but from how nice the Piss is, I can only imagine how nice it would be to smoke. The problem with the GO was I was trying to do all organic dwc and using the Fox Farm trio, and my girld were showing a cal/mag deficiency. So I went for a hunt for organic cal/mag and the GO line just came out, I got the first bottle off of the truck. And that was before the instructions and mix charts were even out. First dose added just killed the whole crop. I contacted them and they said it was weird and that had never happened in any of their tests and told me that those nutrients were ment for soil and should never be used in dwc. Im just assuming it was a chemical reaction between the ff and go. Thanks for the compliment, My goal was to get a pound per light and assumed I wouldnt hit it, and when the way in came, I just about shit my pants. The last run and almost all of my grows were with Technaflora's full lineup. BC Boost, BC Bloom, BC Grow, Thrive Alive Red B vitamin, Awesome Blossom, and sugar daddy. I have my own custom mix that is a little different than their mix charts, and this current grow is the first time for me using SnowStorm Ultra and Gravty, so we'll see how it goes. Thanks for all of the kind words and I prromise there will be more to come.

Thanks. My goal is to see if I can surpass the much saught after gram per watt. Im shooting for 1.5gpw. Keeping my fingers crossed. The last run I got .75gpw and Blue Kush is a average to low yielding strain. Cant wait to see what I get with some of my new heavy hitters.

LOL. I think most people on here are long distance friends, and lets face it, we're the only friends you can/should talk to about your grow, so we have that. It helps being under the stairs and having cement floors and 1 wall, but I still need to run a/c to keep the temps under control, in summer at least. In winter, its a whole different animal.
