Was having trouble. Had to pull them out . First one dead on arrival 2nd one made it momma is wore out as I am..

The love passes to Pauly named after Polly
We will bottle feed him and become his momma just like I bottle fed Polly after her mother Molly died just after giving birth as well
Polly was around 11 or so pretty old but she was very healthy
He is now sleeping in my lap

Re named him..Comet..He is doing extremely well. sucking up the colostrum we froze for cases like this..
He follows me everywhere I go prancing and frolicking..
A very special bond.
I pulled him out after pulling out dead brother and breathed with my breath life into him
We have never seen such a big new born both kids were huge and we reckon they tore Polly uterus
Out I go for final bottle of the day.
So funny he thinks my nose is the udder and bangs into my nose and face. I give him the nipple and he sucks like crazy.
The love has come full circle now that Polly is gone.
we will keep him on farm forever and he will be one of my besties....

Not to be a Debbie downer but kona coffee is overpriced and way over hyped.
If you want that earth coffe rancher style coffee go columbia or Peru , if you like bright and sweet go African, and fruity sweet go Costa Rica.
Costa Rica has been winning hands down for the last year and a half. A lot of there small family farms hAve really stepped up there game big time.

Went to milk pre dawn. Charolette did not have enough for 3 kids. Her 2 and Comet,, He drinks 24 ounces daily
I put the word out needed milk for comet.
Within 2 hours I had 4 gallons delivered to hill bottom and another person will meet me tomorrow in town with additional milk...
We have in the past helped others in a pinch with colostrum for goat kids and milk for goat human babies.
So what gos around surely comes around..
I love this small community...

How long do the milk for?

After a month or so we separate kids from momma in the evening.
We milk her in the morning and kids suckle all day for about another month.
Then the does are sold and the bucks are dispatched for meat..
Will not be dispatching Comet........
After kids are gone we milk till end of oct.
The less day light the less milk.....
like weed in reverse..lol.
He is beyond way cool at this point will take him for car rides in wifes caddie before he gets too big.and show him off a bit, like going into bank folks melt..
Wifes making flourless fudge cake, none for Comet...
