Hello, here to learn how to use my equipment properly, as I have not been able to do so thus far. I've had 2 failed indoor attempts while learning basic horticulture skills and I am very unsure how to use my equipment. Hopefully I can be schooled here at THCFarmer.

Here is list of equipment I have available.
Grow Tents: 3x3 and 5x5
Lights: 2 Gavita 600 pro classic, 1 600 (e) pro and 2 AC LEP
300 with an EL2 controller
Fans: 2 8" and a 10" on speed controllers
Filter: 1 8x39" 900+ cfm
Meters: Bluelab ph and also ppm pens.
Timers: Single plug digital timer
Controllers: The EL2 mentioned above and an environmental controller.
Pots: Airpot .3 liter x10 and 6 3 gallon smart pots 2 10 gallon smartpots.

Also have an eco 2 air pump and mesh bag for brewing teas.

Environment- Central heat/air in a residence and tent is In its own room.

Need help setting this up for veg and proper ventilation to start. Also look forward to finding how I can get the most out of my lights for my situation.

The tent will likely draw air In passively and exhaust about 20' away unless someone thinks that is not necessary. Cant vent out of the house. I have bran new A/C for this residence.

Thank you all in advance hope someone can chime in soon. I'm sure lots of wisdom in here to draw from. Hopefully I'm posting nug porn soon.

Thank you all In advance.

Its hard to help unless you tell us what happened with the 2 fails or tell us what you plan on doing.

The only advice I have with the info you gave is that tents leak light. If you have one tent for flower and one for veg right next to each other or if you have your flowering tent in a room that gets light while the tent is in dark cycle then we are talking nanners and beans.

Basically think had plasma to close to plants, overwatered didn't have meters with nutrient line, used NFTG bk without using calcium. Don't have circulation fans in tent cause I don't know what I need. Improper use of nutrients. Need help setting tent up efficiently. Never used hps and don't know how to use my plasmas.

The fans you have are inline and one of them hooks to ballast and filter?

Whatever size opening that your tents have is what size fan you want to get converting smaller or larger can create problems. For a 3x3 tent a 190 to 240 cfm 4in exaust fan with a smaller cfm intake should work. With filter on the exhaust of course. Pics of setup would be night and day.

Ok I have speed dials 8" fan and 8" filter should i just try a small grow in the 5x5 first. Cant afford to get another filter and fan, actually filter to big for the3x3. So I need to hook up the 5x5. Was venting to the filter prior with filter inside same room outside tent. Only ran plasma though.

What was your temp and humidity?
You can get a hygrometer for a few bucks, an 8 in fan in a 3x3 is probably dropping temp and humidity way too low if thats the way you had it set up. 8 in may be overkill for a 5x5 also?

Looks like you have enough fan and filter to do a whole 12 by 12 room

You certainly have some nice equipment there, almost to much of it for those 2 tents, lol.Try to keep it simple at first,a 600 in that 3x3 for veg is plenty, grow in soil, something like black gold will work.Keep your nutes super simple and basic, maybe get a free sample of veg and bloom from hydroponic research( http://www.hydroponic-research.com/request-samples/)to get you through your first grow(use only 1/4 to 1/2 strength in veg, straight water in beginning),just add to water, mix, easy peasy.DO NOT over water!Learn to lift your pots when they are dry and after you water to learn the difference in weight and dont water til they feel light again, repeat DO NOT over water, especially in veg.
After you get going come back here and READ and ask questions.
Throw the leps and and ph pens in a drawer for now, badass equipment you can use later but dont overthink things now keep it simple and as you gain knowledge you'll be able to bring these into play.
Dont worry about flower for now,one thing at a time.I will not tell you how to set up ventilation in your tent as i never grew in one but someone with Experience will chime in to help with that,i will say if your exhausting into a room in your house you will need a fan and filter scrubbing in that room at some point.
Take it EZ,your killing your plants with too much love, technology and inputs right now, remember its a weed and will grow out of a crack in the sidewalk if you let it,keep it simple and as you gain confidence and knowledge you can play around more, get a few rounds in first,Good luck!

Basicaly at this point, I would like some help with proper use of the LEP, cant see not using it for veg vs the hps. Especially at half the draw. I'm only doing a few clones at a time. Is there some reason I should leave the LEP out?

Second main question for the exhaust is there is a 20' run basically. Also the lights are to be air cooled. Is there a problem with going:

Filter in tent 8" to y
Outside tent to LEP inside outside tent to ^^ same y then to 10" fan and then 10" run of ducting. Or should I put 8" fan on LEP run and 8" on the filter run run those to y then out single 10" run.

I have already got a whole line of nutrients. I've got a nice crop outdoors. And got soil and microbes and tea ready to go. I used the line last year and know what went wrong. I got good smoke out of it but little as it was the indoor run I put out doors last year. Got 24zips of the 10 5 gallon pots. It was berry clean but not sensed up like I wanted and I had used no microbes.

This year I got a slew of 20 gallon smart pots and we are keeping em healthy using ej solubles molasses and cal mag. Having to supplement the ej with some extra nitrogen.

You can definitely use the LEPs in the beginning for veg,All kinds of options for you with the equipment you have.Im just trying to make it easier for you to get a grip on,you asked for help because you lost 2 rounds already right?Keep it simple, get your plants vegging and healthy and go from there.30+ years ago when i started there was no ec/ph pens, leps, gavitas or complicated nutrient systems and we did just fine. You can overthink things, dont jump into the deep end before you learn to swim, fuck all the equipment learn the plants first! If you have too much going on at first you wont know whats screwing you up,capiche?
Your asking for help with alot of fancy equipment but your forgetting its the plant that you want to grow right?Learn how to keep them alive and thriving simply FIRST then play with equipment later OR just do what you want or think you should be doing and keep killing plants like you have been, been there done that.Simple is always best in the beginning, best of luck and i mean that wholeheartedly,im out.

Get a $10 hygrometer or a weather station if you dont have one, if your ventilation isn't working right the temp and humidity will tell you.

So to much airflow= problem. I will turn fan down and if I have to I will put a few bends in the ducting.
