Total bummer on the tape. I tried to get fancy. Thought what would be tougher then this stuff. Bought 5 rolls to seal at many seams as possible when the time comes for GAS.

Oh well on the list for 2.0.

So today was the day. The First 1000 watt is on.

Found out electric rate for me. $0.045 pkwh

$0.045 pkwh x 1.4 kw = $0.063 cents used an hour

$0.063 x 12 hours = $0.756 a day

$0.756 x 30 days = $22.68 what I should expect my
electrical bill to increase .

One 1000 watt running with all the accessories. This will be the biggest starting cost when the second light turns on all the rest of the accessories will already be there.

*****To go back a bit******

A few days ago I transplanted everything into the Smart Pots. Then under a cfl for a few days. Of the six I called it just right. The Master Kush I drop the bag of dirt on, well she's dead. The Kills a Watt no growth sites and the little dwarf Black Cherry, not so good.

Three left and looking real good.

1 Black Cherry (Yummy) 1 Master Kush (What Can You Say) and last but not least, 1 Chocolope (:cool:cool:cool).

It is not much but there is the family. Our 3 Mommy's at least until the "beans travel the seas".

I am a bit worried that I didn't fill the pots enough. Do I want to fill them to the max and give them every bit of the pot to grow into (the reason behind the larger 10 and 15 gallon Smart Pots) OR.... Do I inset them and leave some room for any top dressing that maybe needed (since these mommy's will be in there dresses longer)?

Also three Mango that a friend showed up with. The Mango needed flushed very bad (Very Nutrient locked/over feed, so I've gave them double water for two days then put into a 1 gallon pots. As soon as I can get a few good heathy growths I will top, clone and grow out the original in a 5 gallon bucket. I can then start new with a good clone of Mango and what ever grows out of the original is GRAVY.

******A Funny side note.

We started with a Bowl of Island Sweet Skunk topped with a nice piece of
Sour Diesel Hash.

The Black Cherry, Chocolope and White Widow (still on there cruise). Has my girlfriend and partner having a ton of fun with the name combinations. Ad in the Big Bud, Lemon Skunk and North Lights and it can get out of control. ***

So lights are on temps and humitity are good and consistant.

HERE WE GO:character0050:

All this hurry up, just to sit back relax and wait. Well I am waiting and watching I think I might just be 420 :animbong:

Sounds like your progressing nicely. I'm jealous over your rates for KWH. I'm paying $0.12 KWH. The plans suck here also to get on. With there plan it is .28 cents from 1 pm to 9 pm on there plan and only a window of 8 hours at .6 from 11 pm to 7am. Other hours are still at .12 KWH. Sounds like your in Oregon. Good for you.

Well tightening things up a little at a time. Fan, ducting and filter are all set for now. I have two 2' x 8" sheets of corrugated plastic, 1 4' x 8' sheet MDF. All this for the drain tables (found that on here thank and credit to Trichome Fan for this idea).

****Planning is one thing but application is often another****

The big pots are doing good and coming right along(Black Cherry, Chocolope and Master Kush). You can tell they have taken root and are doing well. The leaves are reaching (not stretching) out for the light, color is good maybe a little lite green. One of the bottom leaves on each plant yellowed in about 3 days. My theory on this has always been that the young plant cannibalizes these lower large leaves until the the roots are able to really take hold. This has always happened to me when I use clones that are rooted hydroponically.

A few thing that I have learned when I have grown in the smaller cabinets and closets. Since I never have mommy's I have always had to rely on cutting or 12/12 seed to harvest.

If I am able to make my own cutting I will do it with my straight razor (my daily carry but not my work knife) as long as I can get it, you can always cut it down, never make it longer. I usually (NOT ALWAYS) have an idea that I am going to get cuttings so I can stop and prepare a few things.

A bottle of water (I like Dasani, not for any reason just that I have to drink half the bottle and I like that one) so yea I drink half the bottle of water and shake the hell out of the rest.

I usually have alcohol wipes in all the first aids kits that I can wipe my razor down with.

Make my cut as long as the bottle cut all the larger leaves in half then I can push them nicely through the opening. I can get 4-6 in a bottle. That is all I really have to do to get my darlings home. They will hold in the bottle at least over night.

Now if all the stars align and the moon is full I get home with cuts I did myself from and plant I was able to examine.

I will now cut down to length, split and scrap the stem to expose the cambrian layer then a dip in my favorite, Clonex. And I always liked to go in to soil. A small Daisy cup with "Base Soil" and a plastic bag over the cup. Nip the corner of the bag for air just big enough to fit the head of the spray bottle in it. A week with the plastic bags and half/filtered light and a week with out the bag and half/filtered light. These girls are ready to go.

This is only in a perfect world and I have a very high 90% survival rate and almost never any lower leaf cannibalism.

But.......

I usually end up getting this thing, from that guy, that he knows from.....

That is the case with these Mango's I was given these and a nug from the last grow out of them and holy molly it was, WOW. BRAVO! These cuttings on the other hand were not so nice very root bound and nutriant/salt locked.

These are always flushed with twice the volume of water and sprayed with an old school "Chili water" for bugs and a good washing. A few days of this then transplant in to "base soil". I always get the lower leaf drop off and survival rate drops a bit.

Two weeks and these girls are almost ready to give it up. There are several good growth sites with no signs of burn. The top can now make me a nice healthy clone that I can process my self. Since these were only transplanted from a red plastic keg cup to a gallon pot and flushed well they will be low on N and better for cutting. Two more weeks, transplant into the 10 gallon, two more week and lights out. As long as one of the Mango cuttings make it every thing else is a bonus.

So thanks for you time and listening to my stoned ramblings. Peace Angel.

How is the mover working out inside that tent? I was debating the same idea in my 8'x4'.
I have two lights, but different wattage, so I'd rather move the bigger one for now. I first saw it done in a grow shop. They used tie straps to mount/hold the 2x4 to the roof of the tent. Anyway, I wanted a second opinion before I committed to it. Thanks in advance.
All the Best!

I'm Back

Well all I have a ton of progressive nug porn, for you all.

To start a sorry to SupaM for the very late reply. I am not real sure if it has worked any better or worse. This is my first time with this setup so I have no baseline. I will say that my girls are so yummy and I have to give a bit of credit to the room I am giving them to grow and the track keeps the light A LOT CLOSER to what is a two meter squared canopy (the more light the better. Right?)

One teaser pic to show and then Ill be back after work.
