Main reason why I like super teas over super soil is you cannot flush dry amendments and those bottles if I ever use them I dilute first and then add sparingly in to tea

I agree whole-heartedly about growing styles and although I own almost all the EJ products I only use micro and hi-brix regularly, the meta-k and micros every month or so ( I never thought about measuring EJ ph right in the bottle).... I'm using Empire Soil because I ran out of the soil I made which is pretty damn good but just not too plentiful. I imagine in the future I'll amend the Empire and recycle it. EWC teas are the way to go. I'm currently investing in the Alien Feeding program which uses Botanicare (mostly organic) but I'm gonna use EWC on half my plants instead, using all the other ingredients that are organic. I wanna see if I get similar results by not using the Botanicare.

Some stuff to stay away from is all those EDTA EDDHA etc. any of those acronyms are bad news for micro life and Ty to stay away from extreme ph 6.3 is ideal but don't use ph adjusters either they do damage to bennies on contact....

I think that poster is referring to using soil food web methods and techniques, whereby using something like Earth Juice is simply... unnecessary. This last (jacked) grow I used absolutely nothing to feed my girls except two foliars of Sea-90 and one or two of diluted milk. No sugars, no pee, no nothing except water. Irrigation (which means for us unfiltered well) water, at that.

OctoberDee, shifting pH too hard (read: too large a shift over too short a period of time) may kill microbial life. I know it kills benthic nitrifying bacteria in aquaria, so it would make sense to me if the same were true of soil microbes.

I hear you SM, I was actually asking about why Slap thought adding EJ to your feed water would cause a swing in ph.. I was saying I've used EJ grow bloom etc. regularly in the past and had never seen the ph of my feed water or soil fluctuate. I guess what he was saying is that although it is "organic" it's also acidic. I suppose I can't agree or disagree cause I've never investigated this. All good info tho, thanks to everyone for their input here I'm having a field day learning and it's not even my thread. Microbeman link is good shit!!;)

The key to organic gardening - any organic gardening - is having a healthy soil ecosystem. This is best achieved through making your own soil through composting and/or inoculating with worm casting and tea and mycorrhizal / bacterial inoculants. Once you've got a thriving ecosystem, your plants will in turn thrive and pump out vigorous and uber-healthy growth.

First of all this is just my opinion!

I dont agree wih Slap as far as your concerned because you are new to organics.

I think you should buy General Organics line of nutes and add it to soil until you get more time under your belt with organics.

Once you are comfortable with organics then Id switch to TLO or True Living Organics which is what Slap is describing. Its advanced organics IMO.

Also Earth Juice makes Natural PH Up and Down you can use if needed

I would lock your water source down first and build your soil around it but remember you cant flush dry nutrients so treat it like a science but if you want to K.I.S.S keep it simple steady then research the soil mix with the least problems but really you have to have a balance of all things good luck

I veg in 1 gallon containers for about 45 days. I then I transplant to 5 or 7 gallon containers depending on the strain. Wait a week and the flip to 12/12. I also know guys who flower in 2 or 3 gallon containers so it's just preference. However using subcools mix I personally would go with a minimum of a 5 gallon container.

Yeah I've noticed that the EJ line of nutes are very acidic out of the bottle but there is a reason for that. Its meant to be bubbled. After bubbling, the PH will get basic - its how you know that the microherd is peaking. If its still acidic after bubbling, then you need to bubble longer, or add more ewc or raise the ambient temps.
