Vipraspectre has great lights, blurple lights will make it hard to diagnose your plant issues. I would spend a 100 bucks on a good Vipraspectre and then I would top dress, nutes are too much in the beginning it's too easy to kill them. Get gaia green and top dress when your soil runs out of food. Save your bottles for down the line when you have a better handle on thinga

Leaves are clawing I would not top your plants. If you try to do too much you will kill it, you arr the biggest danger to your plant as a beginner. Try to do as little as possible. If you must top then get them healthy first or they will herm on you. These are photoperiods right?

Hang on there. They are looking much better. Just wait for GNicks feedback before topping. Stress can build.

Here is a post wrote for advice I wish I had before I started growing indoors. Hope you find so.e of it helpful

So, it took me so long researching and looking for credible information (until I found this community to fact check) I thought it would be a cool idea to start a thread with the top 4 tips you would give new growers. It can be about whatever you want. Mine are

1. Buy the best light available at your budget, if you can't afford a good one save and wait until you have the funds. You can patch toger solutions to almost any problems you may have during your grow but if you have a shit light you will only ever get shit weed. If you have a low budget spend it all on your light (and a carbon filter if not stinking out your building is important).

2. Over watering is the frequency not the amount (in most cases) of water you give at each feed. You should start with a bench mark of 25% of you pot size ex a 1 litre = 250ml of water. Also if you are using organic nutrients you do not have to water until run off.

3. Buy everything you can from reputable companies with proven track records, that come with warranty or money back guarantees. You may save 100 € but you will spend more when you have to panic buy replacement equipment mid grow.

4. Your first couple of grows are learning experiences, take your time with them. Learn, gain knowledge and experience, don't worry about getting the maximum yeild or testing for potency, make mistakes and grow (haha) from them. Just find a style that suits you and have fun with it.

I could write like a million more but I am sure some of the more experienced members of the community can give way more insight than myself.

Got to say this community has helped me learn so much and develop as a grower. You lot fucking rock. Give your best hints and tips so we newbies don't have to ask all the time hahahhahaa

Peace ✌

I would add to this buy a cheap digital thermometer and pH testing kit so you can make sure your water is around 6ph and 22/23c.

No, but water you do...... I don't think I mentioned pH of the soil anywhere. That being said the pH of the soil is still important to some extent but not as much as the water. PH is always important and one of the most basic things you should pay attention to. Peace

If a quality light is important to a successful grow, then I would have to add that a quality PH Meter and EC Meter are equally as important. Just wait until you PHed your water and then discover your cheap meter just failed you. Not much fun. The cheap meters don't last a year and are not accurate at all. For another $50 you can have a quality meter with case and calibration kit. Buy separate PH and EC meters. There's a top tip for you. Don't buy cheap anything...period!!!

Don't have to worry about one of the expensive digital ones. I got a bottle of this from my local grow shop and it cost like 3 euros. Have done 2 full grows and not even used a quarter of it. Avoid ones as in the second picture as I had bought 3 of them previously on different occasions and none have been accurate.

I agree in principle with your sentiment but I think that it is something you can decide to spend money on. The old fashioned liquid test has served me really well. What I mean by the light in that post is it is a top priority when allocating funds. If you have a limited bugmdget then put as much cash into the light as possible. Peace

If your outside in ground. Or if your soil is buffered. You don’t need to PH.

If you're running a premixed bag of soil, chances are it has dolomite lime or oyster shells in it and they both act as a natural ph buffer so you wouldnt need to ph the water, the soil will buffer it all for you.

My tap water is like 8ph and i dont touch anything.

Absolutely no reason to ph your water then unless the ph of your RO water is magically 9 somehow lol.
