No worries Tyrant, I did not mention I was flipping to flower. My girl is already forming sacs and telltale hair growing out of them. My girl is growing up so fast. Only 8 weeks old. How long is the flowering period?

Can vary strian to strian but normally 8 to 12 weeks. Mine are on week 9 right now

I thought about it but my research has come up with different viewpoints about this. Any thoughts from this community? Should I top this plant? It is a Northern Lights strain feminized. From what I have read it grows to about 27 inches with an indoor grow. It is at 26 inches right now and growing everyday. Thoughts?
Also how long had it been since you flipped. She will go into a stretch and can almost double in Hight depending on strian but it will get allot taller quickly.

Started flip a few days ago. It has grown 3 inches in Four days. This plant is a beast, it just wants to grow. Look at the early pics, the fan leaves were bigger than my hands. She started to grow up and then the branches started. Lost a couple lower leaves but it did not affect the grow. It has a thick stem and should support some really good buds (if all works out). I admit, I am walking in the dark here and feel like I am making my way on pure luck here. Waiting for the other shoe to drop.

This picture does not do my sweet little girl justice. She is lush green and full at the bottom. Little feelers coming out (Not sure what they are called) at most branches. A couple slightly discolored leaves but I do not feel I need to worry about it. Currently on a 12/12 schedule. Thoughts on my grow?

Based on structure that's a sturdy strain. It should eat quite well. And be naturally fungus resistant. I would try to keep a clipping. If the final product tastes good you might have a home run strain. One worth keeping.

Northern Lights is an elite legacy strain of note. With 25 years of being top shelf. If it's legit expect mad frost.

Time to introduce my second grow, just started 4 weeks ago. She is being raised totally different than its older sister. This one is in a closet, box fan and a mostly white LED grow lamp. She is gorgeous. Growing way different than the first one. No big fan leaves in this one.

Same strain. (Northern Lights) different medium, different watering schedule and different nutrient schedule.

So like I have been saying, this is my very first grow. How do I do a clipping? What is involved in that? I feel as though I am way out of my league on this site. Lots of professional growers here who know their stuff. I am working with a five gallon bucket, soil, a cheap grow light, a fan and a 20 dollar fertilizer pack. I see most of you have grow tents, adjustable lights, humidity controllers and so on. I feel like a five year old getting in the ring with Mike Tyson. I know it is not a competition but Damn.

Within the first 3 weeks of flower you need a clone tray. Some rapid rooters. Some clean water. And a seedling mat. And follow a good clone guide here. Make sure not to over do the light. Clones need just a bit of light.

Hmmm. I would try to keep that plant in veg. As a mother. Get a tent. And a light. And a fan set up. Because once it starts to smell that's a bit of a must. You need a budget so you can flower.

Yeah I hear you. Unfortunately, I am on a fixed income. I live with my wife in a one bedroom (very small) apartment. So you think I should keep in veg? Why? It is showing all the signs of wanting to flower and started a 12-12 light cycle. By the way, the scent fluctuates, strong after I water it and then it calms down a day or two after. It does not bother my Wife and I do not care if the neighbors smell it. I love the smell.

Well without sufficient light intensity and a sealed dark area you won't be able to flower. The light determines the final product in a lot of ways. You need a minimum spectrum and density to get reasonable buds. The reason I say wait until you have a tent and light is for yield.

Now for price I've found these guys to be solid. And I like the density and quality of the buds I get from them. I don't have a deal with them. But they may be able to provide you an additional discount. They are here on the forum. For limited space their small lights would be suitable.

If that's fully out of the question what kind of light are you working with now?

For the First plant I have a $20.00 grow lamp from amazon. It is not adjustable and is mostly Red LED with some Yellow and white. The second plant is another $20.00 grow lamp from amazon, it is not adjustable and a mostly white LED with a few Red and Yellow LEDS. I am discouraged to hear I will not be able to produce buds with these lamps seeing as how my plants are so healthy and getting bigger each day. (first plant at 32 inches today, max height for this strain with an indoor grow is supposed to max out at about 27 inches. I appreciate the leads on the grow lamps and I may be able to get one next month. I can get both plants under complete darkness for about 11 hours.

Well the total darkness is a tent. That's your best solution. And the reason plants look good early in Veg is they have different demands. If you check out Phlizon they're having a sale. Their lights work well. If you can stay in veg while you save for a tent a light and a fan you'll be able to grow many pot. Instead of hardly any pot. For now keep it healthy. If you have to wait a month it's fine. Because you can train and top it until such time as you're waiting for a set up. How much pot you want to smoke a year?

I only go through about a quarter ounce a month. I only smoke at night before I go to bed. I am paying $60.00 a month, that hurts my budget but due to my disease that will eventually kill me, the weed makes it much more bearable and helps take care of a lot of side affects from my disease. Should I just yank them and be done with it?
