Pharmer Phil just told us he took the Cheese Quake into SC Labs, and it tested out at 16% thc, .1% cbd, the Sour Tsunami was tested by Green Style Consulting thanks to Hbk farms at like 18% thc and .4% cbd, the later we were pretty bummed about, hoping it was the high cbd cut.

Thanks iCultivate. We are going to use them as a gauge, as we are very well aware the digits are such a small part of the pie, and unfortunately it's what the clubs want and promote. Personally we like the high of the Cheese Quake at 16% much better (seems stronger), than the maui at 26%... although the pineapple as usual is a big favorite for a lot folks.

Well some girls are here, and come to stay. A BBK, OG Kush, Cindy Kush, mmmm and one more... , oh and some Royal Purple Diesel. We will try and get shots tomorrow. Lots of visitors today, to the point it was hard to get things done. Framing the roof of the chicken coop now, using third and forth purpose wood can eat up a lot of time removing old fasteners. Been cleaning up the farm, washing clothes and rented a hotel room at discount to take showers, the hot water heater froze one winter, and the battery for the psi system took a crap. We have been going over the bean lists like wild animals trying to pick... Lololololo, so we can pop. Been working plans on creating a fanless double poly film covering for the greenhouse. Also we have been going over the current heating system for mods, perhaps running the hole perimeter off of one furnace, while going to an ACME Fan Jet system just under the ridge for the length of the greenhouse, then plumbing the other furnace to the heat box for the fan jet. We figure we loose 163K BTUs through the double layer roof, then 87K BTUs from the walls. Each furnace is rated at 180 K BTUs so we should be good there. For heating we need to run 1.5 - 2 * sq. ft (3k cfm) for exhaust and fan jet, for summer cooling 8* sq. ft. So like 15k cfm, and our current exhaust fan runs 13.8k cfm, close enough. Finished snippin about two weeks ago. Not to bad... Avg 4.44 ea. and a total loss of 10 elbows to mold.... hence the topic ^^^^^^^^.

Hey hey Farmers!

j8kullqpr3i3rv6pi24.jpg

Here is a shot of the ladies before we bounced up northwest to go see Greenman and fam. This is after
the mice attack, note the row of headbands are totalled. Another buddy of ours has more of those going for us at his place. And we have reseeded from the attack beans allowing of course.

Getting ready to become GANJAPOST! just add water.

vm99yab7e74dzct4m92o.jpg

Here we are making more worm bins, we have all different kinds...lolol except the real nice expensive "continuous flow through reactors".

13kubl64bkm23mvq49te.jpg

Worm porn. Notice the little neon blue pinstripping down some of their backs. Those blue ones are Blue Worms (Perionyx excavatus). The full on red ones are Eisenia Fetida or African Red Worms.

Here are some veggy and herb starts we picked up from a nursery by the Oregon coast. Also picked up some red and russets, as well as some onion starts and garlic too. Gotta get some garlic chives going for companion planting in the greenhouse (mites hate em). Had a great time kickin it with Greenman, way way way fuckin awesome dude and family! We were bummed here cuz we got arrested with misdemeanor possession and they took our meds and travel money let us with 7$ 6 hours from home. Fuckers! Got an attorney, hopefully we will get our funds back and no piss testin bull shit or whatever.

lrd4pjpzlt0paxoz8drc.jpg

The lawn coming back from Winter Death... we'll need to reseed some spots, but shit no waterin since last Nov... no tillin, just threw it out plus some straw mulch in the freakin desert, walla. And in the hot summer it's nice and cool right there....

lrd4pjpzlt0paxoz8drc.jpg

Got the beds moistened, then forked em, corners too. Reshape and smooth. Ferts are coming, then apply... whew we are so late this year....yikes!

fsy6cvxbhkpm0xw2a15.jpg

The soil is Rrreeeaalllll nice though...oh yeah. Nice composition, and tilth. Holds itself yet easily crumbles. Lots of organic matter. Mmmm, we need to get some European Earthworms in here. oh and it smells gooood.

29evn11csl4yscza1j.jpg

OK, here is a shot of the babies post Oregon trip and upplanted to cups. Some have not takin so kindly to our little desert heat waves, those are not cut for the Landing. Only tough stuff makes it here. OK so from the top to bottom left to right.... starting in the top left... 3x Dark Matter, 2 Mendo Joe Skunk TA, next row...5 Cherry Hemingway x Mendo Joe Skunk 1, next row... 5 (Uzbekastan HP x Master Kush) x Joe Skunk, next row...3 Yo Moma, 2 White Ruskaya x Joe Skunk 1, next row...5 Goji OG f2, next row... Orange Goo x Joe Skunk1, next row...2 Boggle Dragon, 3 Black Momba, next row...2 Dream Beaver, 1 Black Afghani x 88 G13HP, Last row...Connie Chung. Oh and forgot to take the shot but we have a CBDiesel, pretested 3:2 CBD:THC with 4% CBD at 5 weeks veg. Yeah veg. Plus we have some Fire OG, Royal Purple Diesel, and Headband from Reserva vegging at a brother's house.

What a crazy week. So we had our SAM meeting and the group presented the draft ordinance to the Siskiyou BOS, went very well. This week the temps and weather was as inconsistent as it could be. Sunny, cloudy, partly sunny, rain, smoke, ash, wind, gusts and various cycles of the above. Nights have been cooler, with one or two in the high 60s and the rest in the 50s.
The girls were taking up a bit more water than last week, 10 gallons every other day, vs. every third day. They received a fungal dominate compost tea (Bountea Fungal Tea Activator, Alaskan Humus, and seaweed) brewed for 48 hours, a TLO flower tea, and a TLO flower top dressing. The bracts are proudly showing off their stigmas as the stacking and stretching begins on most of the girls, RPD in bed 13 started in the last week of July. We are still continually removing sucker bud sites, weak secondary and sub branches, clearing out the centers and bottoms, widening out the clearing to maximize airflow, and direct growth effort to sturdy well established bud sites. As well as shaping the girls to fit the greenhouse roof, walls, and each other.
The week prior we had installed the second side greenhouse film, realizing the first side was the wrong film, still 6 mil; however, not Anti-Condensation, Infra Red film. It was just regular Sun Master greenhouse film. Being that roof condensation droplets has given us such a mold loss in years past, we went ahead and cut the new wrong film off the West roof, installing it on the East Wall. Installed the correct film on the West roof. Now the tricky part... becuase this piece was originally for the entire East Side, which is shorter... we only have a 1/2 inch margin total between both roof pieces. Talk about cutting it close.
Verified Russet Mites on OG bed 16, which required immediate drastic measures. Gosh, hate to have whacked her, but it's better in the long run. The OGs and Silver Kush were partially vegged at a friends in Santa Rosa, we are watching the rest like a hawk. We bleached the cages, burned the plant, solarizing the bed for 10 days, applying DE everywhere, along with applications of OG Biowar, and implementing an organic microbeasty essential oil IPM.
The light dep 1 got cut down on 8-8. They probably coulda gone another 4-7 days for a cup entry or something but we had some holes in our depo plastic and the Lumarian's hermed. We immediately segragated them from Light Dep 2, let them run 10 more days plus one day in dark (terp build up and convience of timing), dipped to rinse off the forrest fire ash, and they look and smell stunning. Light dep 2 oops forgot to get shots, so we will do that tomorrow. Oh been working the males, as some are getting ready or already in the process of dropping pollen. when, dunno... kinda tired and brain shot at the moment. so for now... peace out.

Thanks Sea, we really have missed the openness of real conversation that doesn't get to happen over there. We also think we finally got a routine down now, that we can do multiposts which enables us to get to the places we like to be at... The Farmer Yo! Thanks btw for your direction on the russet post, that is a great thread! Life saving thread. We have a friend from the islands, whom is helping us out and sending some OG BIOWAR our way, brew and blast with the atomizer. whoo hoo!
Great thread, love the approach you've taken to growing.
Thanks Fire Bean, one thing is for sure about our approach .... it's always changing. lolololol... the big differences this year, is the full TLO program instead of a makeshift TLO which worked (last years), and working in more probiotics. We have been doing the bearded barley seed sprout teas, and getting ready to add some Grokashi, as well as some fermented plant extracts with nettles and dandelions. Our first expected frost is in about 2 weeks, so we have really started focusing on getting the greenhouse recovered before then, plus the venting and heaters too.

Update 8-15-14
Another week down, and oh my we are so not where we should be prepped wise..., but sometimes that's life on the farm. As the same in past posts still covering the water mainline, almost got the first foot depth done, then a layer of 450' of 6 mil poly to be covered by another foot of earth. The chickens have been keeping us in great supply of eggs, and the rabbits and horse are doing their jobs eating and shitting out wonderful garden and worm treats. The no till lawn has been a favorite conjuring area... especially in the heat of the day. The comfrey has been rocking, the dandelions are indescructable, collected a bunch of nettle seeds which somehow the mice got... whacked 6 of them little critters and fed em to the roosters. They love mice. Temps have started there cooling trend we had 3 nights at 45 - 47 degrees, then back up to 65 for now, the days have been in all areas of the 80s, with one day maxing out at 75. On those cool nights we had heavy layers of dew. RH rose to 87 then would rest at 80, fading away with the morning sun to settle around 16% had one day at 37%RH, which of course is not includng one day, where it just dumped almost 3" within a couple of hours. In fact that was wednesday. Alrighty, the outdoor, minimalist ladies for the outdoor acclimation trials are doing great. The Uzbecki Skunk, dunno..., she either got nailed by some wras'lin dogs, or wednesday from some serious 60 mph gusts, but she was leaning to the side at a 45 degree angle. Grabbed the lady moved her around, felt like there was some major root breakage. The top of the girl started showing signs of heat and low RH damage. Propped her us with a 2x4 and watered her heavily for 3 days, with a lil bit of kelp. The rest of the OD ladies have only been cleared of lower branches to not get hit by the micro-sprinklers. They recieved a watering twice this last week. All OD girls are stacking, streching, and starting bract development. Should have got shots of that actually, hmmm.. if we can work it in, it would be nice, if nothing else, just for reference.
In the Big Green House The ladies recieved 10 gallons each 3 times this week. They are all as well showing stacking, stretching, and bract development, some more than others. If it wasn't dark right now, I'd run out and check but... Otherwise, we are prepping for our war against the hemp russet mites, verified with a 200x scope on Bed 9 Cherry Hemingway x Skunk 1. So on it's way is... OG Biowar (formally called CAPS Foliar), and 25 lbs of food grade OMRI DE. An IPM is coming from Antonio Baccus. Still thining out the lower branches, sucker branches, sucker sites, running out of time for this... so really got to get it done. Next, we have been making adjustments to the greenhouse film roof. As many are aware of the film fucker upper, which only leaves us 1/2" of play, so with the batton screws at 12" and no real excess beyond the battons, we have been restreching the west side roof film and adding screws to a spacing of 6" on center. See it's damn near impossible to make any adjustments to the west side once the east side roof goes up, so we have to make sure it is right. Hopefully this week we will get the other roof up, the cold is coming and we still have many ventilation and heating mods to do. The girls got another flower spike recipe top dressing, a flower tea, and a fungal dom tea.
Light dep 1, cut the first 3 ladies on the 5th, they are under the scissors as we speak, 5 more the next day, and the rest of the crop the 8th. No mold, light green color (genes and warm weather), and so, so sparkly, disco fever. Light Dep 2 got their last top dressing early in the week, they also received a compost tea. As you can see in the album.. OH YEAH!!! The maters, onions, and peppers have been doing well, and the lettuce and brassica starts as well, notice in the veggie start shot the lettuces on the right are doing much better than the left of the bed, which recieves much more hot afternoon sun. Been dipping deeper into the rabbit hole with living soils, and super excited as it's the direction that we have been flowing for years now. Hmmm, we are sure there is more but just can't think of anything at the moment, so till next week. Many Bowls and Blessing To You All!

What an update! The place looks a lot more... "filled out" in terms of the animules and garden areas compared to last year.

Why are you solarizing that one bed?

I can't really get my comfrey to grow much beyond a tiny clump unless I give it a lot more water, and I'm not going to water the comfrey.
