currently have 4 different strains on the go.
-The fortune cookie (named for 1 seed I got from killer bag of cookies) she is in a tlo soil mix and fed vermipost tea.
-The short fat indica is berry odd
Grown in tlo and fed vermipost tea.
-The big girl in the dwc is an unknown lineage. She grows like train wreck and some flowers purple. Have to keep her trimmed or takes over the room.
She's on Fox farm nutes (using them up and going full organic)
-Last but not least is sweet candy Kane. not much known about her first time Growing her. Also in tlo soil and fed vermipost tea.

They are all under an old magnetic ballast and 1000 watts.

Running vortex model vtx 600 exhaust fan and two ultrasonic humidifiers.

I'm thinking week and a half to two weeks. See how it goes.
I just did a pretty major prune and topping. Want to let her heal a bit.

I've been told I was getting GSC and found some seeds ( about 20 ) in about a ounce.hell it could just be some purple kush I don't know.it taste a little kushy.
What does the real cookie actually taste like?

The real cookie tastes like super earthy , mossy , sweet with a heavy super dank kushy bottom. At least what I was sold was . Lol

I don't really care , what the strain name is. The weed the seed came from was killer , that's all that matters right? Lol
I was real lucky to even get a seed , went through 7 lbs of the stuff and only 1 seed. Fingers crossed

Starting tomorrow , I'm going to start dropping the light back 1/2 hour a day for next 12 days.

Any thoughts on this gradual technique rather than just 18/6 strait to 12/12 ?
My thought is to emulate mother nature as much as possible. If I'm successful in this she will be kind and my harvest will be plentiful.

I just finished an LST regiment on them which is why looking so twisted up.

LST and topping
Had a phosphorus deficiency in a couple girls buy under control now.
A little rubicon bloom bat guano top dress and water in. Good to go
They are at 17.5/6.5 light cycle now so countdown begins 11 days till 12/12.

I just believe in attempting to emulate mother nature as closely as I can.
Is there any negative risk I should be aware of using this technique ?
I've used this before with good results.

Indeed and understood, however, I think it's only at the poles where the day would be reduced or increased by as much as 30minutes.

Starting tomorrow , I'm going to start dropping the light back 1/2 hour a day for next 12 days.

I've played with it, and honestly, I feel it's a big waste of time and energy/money. I see you're well versed in canopy control! The look wonderfully healthy and happy. :)

I agree with you partially
If you for example have a 45 day veg planned. You wait until day 45 to employ the gradual decrease of light 1/2 hour a day . It will only add time and money.
Take same situation as above except , start decrease at day 33. You are still on time for 12/12 switch on day 45 and save a little money to boot.
I'm not an expert by any means , just blazed one and spilling my thoughts :)

How familiar are you with the gas lantern technique? I can't remember what else it's called, I wanna say diminishing daylight or something like that.

The gas lantern technique is a pretty cool concept..haven't tried it myself but seems legit from the results I've seen..did u find out wats up with your "mutant" leaf lol? Was it just one? Looks All floppy like under or over watered to me
Edit; never mind Lol I just saw the random leaf in the middle haha..that different I've never seen that myself..I finally had some tri-whorls but when I flipped to flower the new growth is normal now
