Our First Grow (Purple Kush)

Hey farmers Bizee here. Bluerhyno and I are finally attempting our first grow after almost 5 months of research and buying equipment. We are really excited and scared at the same time hoping we don't screw anything up. We decided to log our first grow here. Bluerhyno will post pics soon of our setup and plants.

We decided to start off with clones. And growing in pots.
Using a mixed medium of fox farm ocean farm and Just right.

We also want to thank everyone here and show some love to the members. This place really helped us out a lot
the members were very helpful and patient with our noon questions.

We even purchased the majority of our equipment from a fellow member who gave us an amazing price! Thanks MJ!!

Anyway please feel free to give us any type of advice along the way, we want it all. That's the main reason were logging our first grow here. It's our first but also our experimental run, well be testing different techniques and methods on different plants. Our goal is to reach a maximum yield while maintaining a good potent product.

The clones we have were already pretty big, they are about 9-10" tall and have about 3-4 branches each.

Hey guys thanks for the support! Right now we have:

secret jardin 5x5 tent
400w mh light (veg)
1000w hps light (flowering)
6" vortex fan
co2 system

were using the the 5x5 tent for veg and flowering stages for our first run.
Eventually and ideally we want to run 2 tents one for veg one for flowering.

Were gonna play the carbon filter by ear, so were not using
one ATM, but we want to set up the tent to be able to just slap it on if we need
to get one as an emergency.

We have 6 plants, were going to try testing different things to experent like scrog vs LST, for example.

Hello THCFarmers,

Here are some updated pictures of what we did today. The camera did not like the grow light, colors are off and if i got too close i would see bars across the pictures. Ill try to find my other camera. We are well on our way with our very first grow :boogie:

Sorry guys we've really sucked at logging this first grow. Everything has been going great this grow except about week 2 in flowering we had some leaves start turning yellow and dying we found out we had magnesium deficiency. Took care of that and they are looking quite lovely now.

We are now in week 5 of flowering and getting ready to harvest!

These two were about week 6-7 in Veging we took them out of Veging once they hit about 20" or so.

Week 2 in flowering with our mag deficiency plants. Buds look fine but had dying fan leaves.

Not too sure when the color is suppose

They are showing plenty of purple for 3 weeks imho. What kind of temps you runnin? Cooler temps will bring out the purps big time...

Jh; Temp is usually 75 always. Humidity around 50-55.

Yup lights on, we are actually in week 4.5
Were flushing the nutes right now and probably will harvest in another week and a half.

Yeah we missed the part on flushing nutes in research so delayed harvesting a bit. Weve been on distilled water for about 3 days now no nutes we've read it takes about 14 days to flush all the nutes out so that's why the 6 weeks :(.

6 weeks is real short my man. Let those go 8 weeks min imho. They do look pretty far along for 4 weeks in that last pic but trust me, let them go at least 7-8 weeks you will be happy you did.

You think so? All the hairs are already turning amber/brownish? But hey if it gives us more chance to produce higher yields I'm down.

They will prob. purple up more after about the 7th week and when you start flushing them.. Some purple strands never actually purple, and some strands can be forced to take on some purple colors by lowering the temps durign the last few weks of flowering.
