If you use tiny pots you have to feed! I re-amend over the winter and plunk the plants into 35 gallon! There’s usually enough juice in there to get them through a whole grow! I’m a lousy cook! I start feeding and they start fading! Lol!
in the outdoor world, 30 and 35 gallon pots are considered small! And it helps me limit the size of the plant! I’m not in this for trees! I’m in it for the finish line!
Yeah, your environment presents a lot of challenges that need to be overcome! As it gets later in the year, you will probably get less and less sunlight! Chasing the sun is a drag! You will learn a lot about it this year, and can apply your knowledge next year! A lot of stuff out of your control in that environment! Adapt and overcome!

I grow in a hot dry hell hole! Have to use that size to keep the roots cool! And to feed them for a whole grow! Small plants! Probably average a pound dry! But they are easy to maintain! I am old so easy to maintain is a big deal! Lol! Just adapting to my environment! Just like everyone else! Sometimes it takes a year or two of getting your ass kicked to figure it out! It did me! I better go out back and check on the girls! I’m sure they’ll be happy but maybe looking for a little Agua!

What did you end up getting for netting?
I got this one 4 ft tall, the rest 3 ft tall and two feet wide which is a little small. Thing is though, where I am, I don't get enough sunlight to grow big plants, but I'm more interested in quality than quantity since this is only for my own use.

I'll tell ya, my backyard is so small, it's not a problem. My current issue is waiting to see if they get enough sunlight and air in the tents that I bought. That and feeding them--what they need at what stages. Right now they look pretty good--I'll post some pics later in the day. Thanks very much for the suggestion, I really appreciate it.
Those look great…I think you may have undershot with the screen sizes tho and might outgrow them.
You are so right! I thought I could keep 'em small enough, but a couple are already pushing at the sides and one is at the top. But, one thing I noticed since I've been using them the past couple days, is the one big one I have (4ft by 28 x 28 inches) is a tighter mesh than the others, and right now, I don't know if that's good or bad. I'm leaning towards "it's bad." And I haven't found the ones i have in a bigger size.
Honestly, I don’t think you need them till a couple weeks in to flower…I’ve used cheap netting like these in the past…I use BT now as I probably mentioned.
I used Bt on them once or twice right away, but haven't since. Is it okay to use BT on flowers?
And those plants are really healthy looking, I wouldn’t give them anything until flower at this rate…cal mag isn’t usually needed when in soil, mostly for soilless media…I’d wait till they ask for it, yours are tellin, they ain’t askin
Yes! Highly recommend that you read through the various listings in the seed company websites. Reading closely, you will find some that specifically say they are hardy and pest resistant. There are so many. I'm growing Fat Mazzy from Homegrown and Royal Moby from Royal Queen (?) And both were said to be pest resistant and so far (9 weeks into veg) there are no bugs or other pest problems. Still have to keep your guard up especially when they get into flower! Look for early signs like caterpillar turds on your buds, and peel those buds open to extract those devils!! You can't undo the damage, but you can keep it from spreading.
