I have a fan trained on the 125w cfl to keep it from turning the Mondi into a oven.

Right on passport. They look great so far!

Gotta love the Mondi Domes huh? I love mine. I need a heat mat set-up like you have there though. My beans take way longer to sprout than they normally would because of low temps in the Rapid Rooters. Anyhow, enough about my stuff. Grow on my man, grow on.

Thanks for stopping by PGW, I appreciate the input! If I'd do anything differently I would've let the seeds germ in total darkness. Most of the stretch is because of light leak and then having to keep the CFL above the Mondi. It had more surface area than the lids that came with the 'rooters, but I had to keep the light farther away and I was misting the inside of the canopy in an attempt to get extra humidity. The air temp stays above 70F at night and below 85F during the day, but generally about 78F-80F @ 25%-30% humidity. Its been an adventure so far, it's nice to have a place to share and learn with fellow growers :sun

I agree passport, it IS nice to have a place to share and learn!

And FWIW...Rapid Rooters are one of the best grow inventions ever, I think. I love em.

These babies growing in FFLW are growing like...:thinking

For some reason these are not rooting very well. I followed the instructions on the products and the plants are not thriving in it:wondering

I think I'd get a little support for those sprouts passport, they look good but not able to stand after the dome stretch. Are the rooters moist?

Yeah agreed! I routinely have to use little supports that I made out of wire. After a week or so, the stems get more woody and they support themselves just fine. Some strains need the stakes, some don't----for me anyway.

hererisssh, the rooters are too moist after placing the in the GC's. Those cubes hold waay more water than I thought possible, so I trained a fan onto that tray and it has helped the plants alot, more were up on their feet but I tied them to supports anyways this morning.

PGW, so true on the different growth. Watching these plants grow has been amazing. I've learned not to underestimate or overestimate any plants, just be patient and take care of them. The LA KUSH bagseeds seemed to be disappointing, very short and slow to expand. Now they are very low, strong plant with leaves as large as any other strain in the room.

Tomorrow the rest off the plants are going into DWC! :party

I snapped these last night, after their first flushing. I only flushed the plants in FFLW, the grow cubes still seemd moist and the plants were acting happy with high branches and leaves reaching up.

A few nights ago I left a window open after the lights were out to give the plants some extra air, the next morning I saw a noticible difference in growth than I hadn't seen before. So I'm working on getting some tubing through the ceiling, one in - one out, with filters.

This is GHS Cheese feminised. She is growing fast and bushy under the CFL's. I'm copying(slightly modified) Seemorebuds grow philosophy "8oz for under $100" on this lady.

I've made a few changes to the growroom thanks to the innovative design of growers on this site namely DoubleDs medical gardens and Hererisssh DIY DWC, cheers :beer

This is how I had them last week.

http://i286.invalid.com/albums/ll116/PassportSS/Picture006-4.jpg
This is today, 31 days since seeds. I elevated the plants and placed then as close as possible.

My first DWC, up and running. I intend on arraying 7 plants around a light, what kinda wattage should I be going for to get a min 1.5 lb per lamp?

This is the same GHSC as previous post, 10 days later.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nice grow, very nice. One question though. If you are going vertical with your lights why not lose the glass? Keep up the good work.

Looking good Passport. I gotta tell ya, the first photos of the seedlings looked like they were reaching pretty high, but they look good now. Isn't it cool we have guys like doubleds and hererisssh to share their knowledge?? I am working on my DWC system as we speak. 12 pot recirculating system. I think I'm in over my head.
Keep us posted on the grow.

JJ, it's still a work in progress! I haven't hooked up ducting to the lamp, I'm going to have to build a manifold to get the lamps vented along with used room air. Right now the plants are very close or touching the glass with a fan circulating air around that area.

Joe, it's very cool to have people on this site to learn with. I wouldn't be designing ecosystems if it wasn't for this site!
