Ph question i am puzzled

Ok scenario:
Been running hydro switched to ro water now with 24 hr room temp ro water i add chemicals and set ph 5.8
4 day later ph is at 7 . Dwc 4 bucket
FF nuets full line

What is the pH of the RO water before you add stuff? Why did you switch to expensive water?

I have ro filter in my hardware store so its free water just trying to avoid municipal water with no filtering
I will check it

Also im using phosphoric acid ph down its very powerful. Ph of 6 straight from the filter and brought to room temp.

If you look at that table. It speaks to acid rain. Depending on which phosphate form you are using consider this acid rain. Only to help maybe interpret the rable.

I considered doing hydro at one point and did some research and it always ended up being "next grow". Honestly just don't have the time to maintain it so I just stick with soil.
