really i would not know what percentage to set the uv at what stage , and i would get on here and ask and EVERYONE would have a deferent answer lol

im still trying to figure out is ppfd matters more then the height for example if u had a light 18 inch above your plants at 60 percent with a ppfd reading of say 500ppfd and then you raised your light 4 feet above the plants put the percentage at say 75 percent and got the same 500 ppfd reading is it the same ?

And you’ll make your plants stretch higher.

The correct answer to your question is, yes. But the question you are asking is irrelevant. Read your plant, it's the only way to know where the light should be. Put the ppfd meter down and slowly step away from it. You can not for any reason use a ppfd meter to determine where the light should be. A plant can handle different amounts of light just by your nute feeding schedule. You plant can handle different amounts of light depending on if you water once every 3 days or once every 7 days. You plant can handle different amounts of light if you look at it differently. There are a million variables on how much light your plant can handle that looking at a number is pointless.


But yeah the answer is yes it's the same amount of light when looking at the ppfd.

Basic led par maps, and manufacturers ppfd maps, height settings they really are a pretty broad set of guild lines, not an exact science.
All plants will react differently. You could go 100-200 points in either direction sometimes even more.

When using UV... when and how should it be used... it says roughly 1 to 2 hours.... is that with normal veg lighting... and should it be used when they wake up...middle of day... or end of day for the 2 hour time frame????
