canopy is now 26"-32" from light in different points
and this is the new one that will jump in on monday. will toast them even more so yes?

Sorry I meant to say 26 not 6 (corrected), they would be all ashes by now hahahaha. So at 26 inches you should be able to use full potency according to the PPFD chart. I dont know why you keep saying they are toasted, they are not. One of them is moving leaves perhaps to avoid light but even that one is not burned in any way, no yellowing on the edges and very little on the tips which could be nute related or if its light is not enough to worry about.

Thats what I would do yes hahaha. I have not used high end panels so maybe they are a bit more agressive than the ones I use so I would be watching for signs after cranking it up but I would definetely try to give them full potency at that distance.

Hahaha dont worry you will have plenty of time to lower potency if you see any tip getting crispy. Thats no biggie, I crisp them a bit sometimes when pushing light or nutes and then back off when I see them crispy tips. 98% of the leaf is still gonna do its job and it wont progress if corrected.ok. it's on 8 now- slightly over 500W

I try to push 1200umols in the middle, I have to keep them way closer than you because my panels are 2x130W and 2x150W respectively in each tent. Your panel says that at 12 inches it gives 1200umols in the middle so I wouldnt even worry about them getting too close to the light with the stretch, you have a lot of margin.

What temperatures do you get with the panel on full blast? At some point it is better to back off but if its like 30ºC which is 3 above the maxium recommended I would say go for it. Id rather give them a few more degrees than optimal than way less umols than optimal. You could dimm it a bit towards the end, they will mature faster when sensing the change of light potency and you will evaporate less terpenes. (Which they recover at night anyway but maybe not all of them if the temperature is not optimal)

barely 25C now, slowly climbing. will leave them a bit and maybe put new one on half- 500W and then test up
prefer not to overload them- they seem very sensitive
I always go down last week and a half- in HPS I was swapping for 200W less. Think with LED I shall do more or less the same

I was standing over my pineapples in the evening with delicious purple haze joint from my friend stash watching humidity raising (3 points of measure- lung room, floor of the tent, probe hanging) and I've open the tent 360 and put my hand into some places of the canopy- humid, cold, just unpleasant
so:
all the weak shoots, all crappy shoot with big fat mamma close, all popcorn after lollipop, all yellowing and crappy ones from under the net and then difficult part (that one took me two hours and two joints
thinned pig weeds
Part of them is going into characteristic pineapple crown. I left them also a bit more of space
Took me half an hour with the loupe and trimmed stuff to assess- all good, nice crust forming even on rejected ones, no pests, bit of nute burn.
decision was good as loads of crap was neon green from lack of light- that crap is gone
Hope I did more or less good stoned job
Difference in humidity after system went sleep- 10%
And they took 500W without a burp so far
Hard core this small lady grow
May fairies of stable VPD stay with you

Ma'am if you keep putting that much effort youre gonna end with too much weed! Just joking there's no such thing as too much weed in my book hahaha, theyre looking lovely and super packed. Whats the max registered temperature now? Same as before? 25ºC? Let me know if you go to 100% how much it goes up. 25ºC is totally fine, as you said you will reduce intensity and hence also heat when its time.

Once I got my lights set (which took a few tries the girls were touchy with that) I didnt mess with it again. I’ve never used HPS though. I have heard (and could have totally been “bro science”) that some would have the setup dim a little towards the end of the 12 hours at the closer end of the cycle. Mimicking a sundown affect. Sounds kind of like what you’re talking about maybe : ) maybe not at allI always go down last week and a half- in HPS I was swapping for 200W less. Think with LED I shall do more or less the same

As long as you crank up slowly you should be fine. According to their PPFD chart at least, there's also the factor to consider on how much light theyre used to. If theyre only now getting the optimal umols they might not be able to reach 1200umols in the middle but even at 26" your panel is giving "only" a bit less of 800 in the middle so its quite safe or should be. Those are samsung diodes they do a much better job at not burning your plants than cheap diodes but they're also quite potent compared to the cheap ones... so you have the potential to have better plants or burned plantsI checked the highest ends today at closing after all day of 500W

Honestly I dont think they can handle 1200umols if theyre not used to high intensity from the start. I think many can start to show symptoms of too much light even at 1000umols, but again youre not over 800 so you should be fine.
