Bicky I never used them have a friend that dose. He says they're a pain in the ass. He gets all the old roots that he can out of them washes them in bleach solution rins real good and use.

This.no need to do anything with pH with hydroton pebbles they are pH nuetral and if your using them as filler in soul or coco even less reason to get carried away with the rinse process.Just rinse them. I use them on top of my coco. I just rinse the dust off. Never had a problem.
