Im trying something new w my worm bin. Instead of just throwing in kitchen scraps, im gonna try blending them first. I was lookin for a food processor from the 2nd hand store and only found a $5 blender. I added a cup of water and blended all my compost...old lettuce, coffee grounds, stale bread etc...View attachment 776872
Yum!
I keep making trips to the local hydro store for their free worm tea. My plants seem to love it. I want my own worm bin... I am KIND OF doing it..Haha

Well not really I just throw all my coffee grounds outside the greenhouse. Figure one day I can put a.bin there. I through egg shells and other scraps there if I am not being lazy...

I have my doubts as to whether even the worms can find that appetizing. If they normally eat the scraps are they really gonna want it in that form? I have zero experience, just speculating.

I think so ...worms dont bite n chew. They suckle....and it isnt until the compost reaches a certain level of decomposition tbat the worms will even eat it. Mof they recommend cutting it up into as small of pieces as possible. So, i just took it a step further. Also, i mixed the slurry w shredded newspaper

I know you gotta be loving that new space bro. I think you're right on the worm bin. I bet the scraps break down faster and are availiable to them sooner. Like chelated nutes for plants. But what do i know haha. I buy my ewc in the bag.
I’ll be about 2 weeks behind you.
Same here. But mine are the same size as his fudge gear lol.
