you can do a clean of branches and leaves that don't get any light under the first net now, than put the second net.Today was their tenth twelve hour light cycle.

yep under skirts shaveDefoliate everything under the net that isn't getting light?
Ahh the ol mechanics crawl huh? Bring your phone next time, can get some cool backlit picsToday I pruned a lot of the leaves that were under the trellis and not getting any light. There were so many. It was really difficult to prune the plant at the back on the right because there's no zip on that side of the tent. I'm skinny, which helps, but It was still very awkward. I added a second trellis net but that was as low as I could get it and it hasn't made much difference at the moment. Until the plants grow some more I can't train them much as it stands. The shortest plant was the bushiest so I'm hoping that now I've pruned it the plant's energy will be directed to the remaining branches and it'll grow fast enough to catch up the others. I hope so anyway. The leaves still look a bit yellow but maybe they're still recovering from too much light. I'm really disappointed with the Northern Lights plant on the right because it only has 4 or 5 decent bud sites. There are 3 in the middle but they don't seem to be growing very fast. They normally need feeding after 4 days but the soil is nearly dry today so I'll feed them tomorrow morning which will be 3 days since the last time. I know it's probably a difficult question to ask accurately, but approximately how many grams of weed would each bid site give me? Would I be right in thinking it would be about 7 ish?

Just gotta make more space so you have somewhere to get on the ground… then someone to get ya back upMy contortionist skills aren't up to the required standard.
that right there is why i hate the damned scrog nets, also if i need to move a pot out of the tent.... holy hell hahahahaToday I pruned a lot of the leaves that were under the trellis and not getting any light. hard to say how much you gonna harvest, density and flower development will play a major role in this.
some flowers weight a LOT more than others.. so visually is just an approximation even when you know your genetics well sometimes it can be very differet.. for example my hps cd and pwr flowers were much bigger.. but not nearly as dense as with led, and i know very well this two cultivars.
i would go with all 9 same genetics to make it easier for you to manage in the tent.Yes these nets are a pain in the arse and they seriously restrict what you can do in the tent. I want to try the SOG method so I don't have to use nets but there isn't much point if I have to grow from seed. Once I've got my own mother plants I'll start doing SOG grows. I've found someone who has some clones but they only have Banana Punch and Sensi Dawg, neither of which interest me particularly. If I grow 9 plants next time in my 4x4 I'm not going to need a net am I because there's barely going to be enough room for 9 plants in a 4x4? I'm thinking of growing Royal Moby or Critical next time because they've got good genetics and they're high yielders. What do you think?

I'm not a fan of critical crosses tho, they tend to stretch a lot, great for greenhouses/outdoorYes I'm definitely going to grow all the same plants. I'm thinking Royal Moby or Critical strains because they have good genetics and they're high yielders. What do you think about those strains?
Quit the molasses! If gonna use at all... only want in last weeks of Flower!I'm currently on day 18 of my first grow. I'm growing 2 Hindu Kush and 1 Northern Lights. I started in plastic cups but the Hindu Kush plants became root bound so I transferred all of the plants 3 days ago to 5 gallon pots. My plants look quite healthy but the problem I have is that they don't seem to have got any taller in the last week. If you look at the close up photos you'll see that the Hindu Kush plants have a whole bunch of nodes in the same place which I can't understand. Also, the Northern Lights plant seems so small compared to the others even though this is also an Indica strain. What am I doing wrong? I was thinking that I might need to top the two Hindu Kush plants because this is causing the problem with the node bunching but aren't they a little small to be topped now?
I'm using a Mars Hydro FC-E4800 at 24" and 50% power. 18 and 6 hours. The temperature and RH is constantly 76 to 80 Fahrenheit and 50% to 70% respectively. I've got three fans on constantly. Two oscillating fans, and a 6" Spider Farmer exhaust fan on speed 3. Everybody says it's better to underwater than overwater but I think I may have underwatered too much and this has stunted their growth? I've been using molasses and liquid seaweed to feed them and I've just given them about 2 litres of water each. I've just ordered the Fox Farm nutrients trio and some Cal Mag and they should be delivered in the next few days so I'll start using them as soon as they come. Why do my plants look like this or are they normal at this stage and I just need to be patient?
yep dont go with fox farms EC recommendations.. they are bat shit crazy...Trash I'm mixing up the feed and I'm measuring the EC for the first time. According to the Fox Farm feeding schedule the EC should be 3.4 to 3.8 at week 8 but that is based on full doses isn't it? To get the EC to that level I'd have to add so much more nutrients it would be ridiculous. I've just mixed up a half dose of all the nutrients and the EC was 1.2 so I added 5ml more of everything and raised it to 1.5 which seems to be about the right level at this stage according to the research I've done on the internet?
nice move, canopy looks great!Today I fed them 4 litres of water each with a half dose of the Fox Farm trio, plus 6ml of CalMag at PH 6.4 and 1.5 EC. I've just realised that the temperature of my water is too warm at 24 Celsius and I need to get that down to about 19 going forward. After going through my journal I also realised that the last time I fed them nutrients I gave them a full dose but it didn't seem to harm them so maybe the nutrients I've bought have been watered down? Apparently a lot of people that sell them in Thailand do that. I decided to take action with the shortest plant because I don't think it is going to catch up with the other two and it's therefore not getting enough light. I raised it 7 inches which meant I had to get rid of the bottom trellis net. When I did I discovered it wasn't serving any purpose anyway so removing it hasn't affected the plants. Now the canopies are even and I feel much more comfortable about things.
learn on your own is the best teacher

For organic ammended soil ~0.5 EC for veg and ~0.8-1.5 EC max for flower is good, upper range if the soil is depleted in flower.
