Same here I'm getting around 700 - 750 I'm cutting it one pot mix to 3 Parts water for around 3:35 - 3:50 for my small plants the only changes I make is maybe the last couple weeks either add or just use the Jack's Bloom booster, although I did like that
I hope you consider another journal !? it would be fun to watch this grow with the new newts!

I'm considering just that with the change to master blend myself, I'll probably do it with some black d.o.g. or possibly Indian Bubblegum, both are on deck but not sure what my next run is yet

For the first run I'm sure I'll run it as directed though, and not even add bloom booster just to see the results. I'm currently using it at 25% (c. 335-350ppm) and full strength (700-750ppm), I think there was one application so far at full strength, all good so far
Another grow diary? I have problems finding this one at times. I'll think about it.

I was going to pick up some ferts for my giant tomatoes this past weekend as they're light green. My horse manure has maybe 2% nitrogen so wanted to up it just a bit and my neighbor brings me two bottles of Alaska.
20190806 115135

Mixing it with dirty fish water. No noticeable difference yet but I'm using it at a quarter strength. If it works out I may try it on one of my potted girls, especially that Morbloom.

This little girl

Rewarded me with over an oz of dried bud and another half oz of sugar leaf. That leaf has been jarred for about 2 weeks and smells pretty darn good. Gonna have to roll one up tonight.

I'll be making tincture later this afternoon and will document. Very easy to make.

Took the other 3 pumpkins
20190806 141433

and was going to chop it all down and found this hiding
20190806 114132

So I kept a few vines.

I really was hoping to clear out that box for the tomatoes that popped (I didn't plant, compost box, so have no idea of their variety).
20190806 114117

We purchase a lot of Roma's during the winter and that's usually what pops up.
20190806 142322

These look more like beefsteak. Who knows and who cares, as long as they taste great. More home made salsa and marinara sauce soon!

Tincture Recipe

There are as many tincture recipes as there are brownie recipes. I've tried several and this one is the easiest and gives me a great end product.

Decarb. 250F for 30 minutes is the norm. I like the lower temps and longer cook. 210-215F for 60-90 minutes, depending on the moisture in the bud.
20190806 173404

I use a toaster oven. Paid $5 at a second hand store. Toster ovens have less temp fluctuation due to their small size.

This batch went 75 minutes.
20190806 184706

I used untrimmed flowers and sugar leaves, all covered with trichromes.

Once decarbed remove the stems and place in a coffee filter
20190806 185306

and close with butcher string or stainless steel wire.
20190806 185403

Place in jar and add alcohol
20190806 185611

For flower I use 2 gms to 1 oz alcohol. Since this has leaf I doubled the amount of dry to 4 gms.

Pretty clear when added
20190806 185746

but within a few minutes the color darkens as the alcohol strips out the chemicals that make up the plant.
20190806 191344

This was only 15 minutes.

I understand the majority of chemicals we want are removed within the first 20-30 minutes. I will start using this before bed, only removing a little allowing the soak to continue until it's used up. It will become darker as the chlorophyll is removed and the taste will develop.

You can shake it or not. The alcohol will do it's job either way.

You can place in the fridge or freezer, some believe freezing before, during and after gives a better product. I've tried it and found no discernable difference.

I've made many a batch but this seems to be the easiest and takes little time.

Doseing. Unless you have a tolerance go easy. A drop or two under the tongue, let it absorb and give it a few minutes. I use two dropper fulls, 1ml and never get high but it has stopped the muscle spamisms in my legs. If I go without a few days they start again.

While it doesn't get me high I've found that using while smoking the high will last much longer. I've taken 7-8ml in a day in the past, used in a mixed drink and still I don't get high off of it. Now my neighbor wants to cut it as for him it's too strong so it's me and not a weakass tincture. My wife, who does not smoke took it a few times for pain and she was still flying after sleeping 8 hours. The coconut caps did her in as well and she won't use either now.

A second soak works but use half the amount of alcohol. The resulting tincture will be weaker.

Got a new phone today and you'll never guess what the first picture was...

What else could it have been?

4 1/2 weeks in flower and I removed the cage.

I'll add a larger one.

I'll keep this one on the South side of the yard. Good strong plant.

I misspoke, she's over 5 months in the ground. She should be 6-7'. She was not one of the best or fastest growers and weather was an issue all spring but she's what I got.

For $30 an 8th it better be a real nice jar. One thing I really like are the labels. All tested for THC and CBD as well as pest and herbicides. That alone is worth the price. I'd hate to think of all the crap I've smoked through the years.

Pretty cool.
Here one of the plastics ones :), I don’t want to think about the amount of tar I’ve absorbed from smoking weed

I've gone high tech on making tea
20190809 110357

πŸ˜‚ using an air pump and putting the materials in nylon. Big step for this old timer.

Been thinking of trying Superthrive after researching and found a small bottle of it at Walmart the other day for $11. Added a half teaspoon to the tea mix. I'll be adding a tablespoon of molasses this afternoon after I pick up a bottle.

Girls are doing well, this one is really packing on the buds
20190809 111301

Gotta put her new cage on today.
20190809 111255

Even though I haven't seen any ground squirrels lately she's too exposed.

I put that potted male next to the gopher clone, even though I've pollinated her I want to be sure.

Such a cute couple.

Looks like it wants bigger pot with the top growth, looks like it's trading off by keeping lower growth price.? I've got some advice about mine I could use soon as mine are in uncharted water at mo.
I like to play about and sometimes that can cause trouble but I like to see my boundaries.

Our boy popped a couple sunflowers
20190813 222122

When I tell beginners to start with sunflowers or basil I'm not kidding. You learn the basics in a few months. When/if that sunflower is harvested he'll start his first grow. I'm rooting for him and no, I didn't touch or water that plant, all him. Proud pop right now.

So my neighbor has a friend at work that grows.
20190813 202639

and brought over a few buds. Nice sativa. I gave him an eight to take to him. Hoping to do some trading after harvest.

A shot from last night

Ive added these two as supplements:
Careful with too much calcium! I'm going to get some of the monopotassium phosphate when I run out of Jack's bloom booster

My girls are loving it, I'm working out their Cycles still but all good on this end! I'm feeding them low only 600 PPM maximum, half that in veg and they seem to be doing great right there, at least so far

Meet the Gopher clones

For those new here this is an F2 cross of Chemdog x Brutus OG. F1 displayed mainly a sativa geno. This F2 displayed mainly indica. Both display sativia flowering and finishing, about 12 weeks here in sunny so cal.

Planted in the ground mid March, horrible weather she was my best.
20190527 064442

This is June 1st, one day before the Gophers invited her to their party. She's in back, the one in front is good and frosty 45 days in flower
20190815 181811

4 1/2 feet tall. Usually plants are 7 +/- feet at this time .

After a nasty spring she was starting to grow
20190527 064518

A day later the gopher struck.
20190602 141600

I took 10 clones, 7 survive today. These 3 are the best and will hopefully provide a bit of smoke

Her sister began flowering July 1st with 14 hours of light per day. 12/12 indoor might want to be altered to allow more light? Just a thought.

The clones. GC 1 (GC-Gopher Clone)
20190815 181839

Currently has a boyfriend
20190815 181827

That Male is potted and growing like a weed.

I had pollinated her 10 or so days ago with pollin from my best male clipped back in May, but the more the better.

GC 2
20190815 181845

I thought clones were identical to each other and mom. Guess not. Exact conditions as GC 1, in the same box/raised bed growing well but maybe a third of GC1.

GC 3
20190815 181839

She's been fighting a tomato plant for sun. She may end up designated #2 if she keeps it up.

Officially naming this frosty bud Chemgopher OG. Can't wait for the next generation.

Hey this is good stuff! I used to use the grow formula and have heard good things about the bloom formula recently
