I remember fishing shitty muddy rivers in Wyoming, nothing but two pound rainbows at 7,000 ft.
I lived on the Arkansas in Colorado in Salida.

This river stays 55 degrees got Rainbows and Browns. Biggest one I caught 6.5 pounds but most couple pounds. This river most part is about 4 foot feet deep. Bunch of Outfitters have Camping and Floating. Lots of things happen in the Summer.

Winter here they Gig at night for Suckers one town for a weekend has what they call Sucker Days.

Got Muskies over where I Catfish.

I love surfcasting, even dock fishing when the big bunker are in. I can appreciate how difficult it must be to catch fresh water fish. I even like the taste of a few.
Just having to have to pay to fish really isn't right imo though, plus they stock the lakes, and rivers.
Now salmon fishing is something I'd do, but I'd still feel weird paying for it.
However most states now require a permit to fish, and clam......
What's this world come to lol.
As TheBad Choice made mention to...There aren't too many places in the US where you can go surfcast by yourself, and end up on a boat with some really good looking chicks..
Not anymore, as those days are gone, but with LI surf casting you can go home scrubbing the smell of all different fish off your hands 😀

What is a Sucker?
I've seen videos of goant Carp that have invaded entire rivers. They can actually jump up, and knock someone out.
Where is that happening?
I guess if there were fish in the Guadalupe in Texas, that would be a whole bunch of fun..So I should correct myself

an iPhone 11 doing the heavy lifting, I tend to get blazed out of my mind and wander through the garden and take a picture of everything that catches my attention. It’s pretty fun looking back at a week in pics

Suckers resemble a small carp, bony bottomfeeder with a good fight on light tackle. During spring spawn we finger gilled them under creek banks in PA as kids.

I was lucky enough to own a couple muscle cars from the late 60's and early 70's. I had a '69 Pontiac Tempest with a 350 in 1977 and that thing was quick. I'm lucky I survived that car. It's an era that will never return. When even somebody of little means, even a teen-ager, could get their hands on some shiny muscle with new tires. And proceed to terrorize the neighborhood, smoke those tires, and draw the attention of police. LOTS of attention from the police. I got so sick of the flashing red and blue lights.

So my wife convinced me to drive 10 miles over to the property where our garden is at 5am to test out if a UV light will really help find tomato worms, I was not a believer on the drive over but yes dear. I’ll be damned if it doesn’t work like a champ.

"FAT GUY IN A LITTLE SUIT" (Name the movie?)
I posted this in the breeders thead as well. I thought it was worth sharing as I don’t often see colas get this large, and frosty post pollination in such small containers, under low wattage lights. 250 MH/HPS
Pollinated week 3. Vegged from seeds for 16 days. I transferred from an 8 oz cup, to this tiny container, allowing one day for veg.
These seeded plants stretched around 5 feet. I had to cut off about 1/3rd of the main colas, and do some extreme super copping to keep it from running into the lights.
The strain has a nutty, chocolate aroma, and smell.
I'll get into it some more if there's any interest
Here are some cool pics before harvesting the IBL line. The last pic had my arm around 2 large colas

When the biggest problem I have is catching a fish, I can't beat that. To catch a few 30 lb strippers off a dock on live Bunker, that's hard to beat.
Back to some weed.
These were seeded week 3 under a 250 hps. An inbred strain. I used 1/4 gal containers, 3 plants.
I cut a good part of the colas off, as they stretched in the light. The leaves got a lil burnt up.
I'm not going to mention weight, as it was seeded
