Good to know. Things can be a little tough seed procurement wise DownunderI ordered from CropKingSeeds in Canada. Paid with Bitcoin, they were in my letterbox within 2 weeks. Just getting to the end of my first lot of Green Crack and they are frosty as hell. Got GG4 there ready to run as well. Came tucked into a slit in an inner tube. Highly recommend.
Bloody oath. Don't know where you are not they're militant over here in the wild west.Good to know. Things can be a little tough seed procurement wise Downunder

What's in the decanter? Almost looks like Malbec with that pink rim but given your location more likely, Cab Sauv? Also if you've been in the game your whole life, there's zero chance we don't know a lot of the same people hehe. If you know the Oakridge crew we definitely do. Seriously small world.Been in the wine game my whole life. The odd summer concert at Leeuwin. Sounds like you have a good circle there man. Let’s stay in touch
I'll guess John Riddich. Matt was a regular at the restaurant I was sommelier in three years ago, and a friend of mine who worked there with me is now one of Dave's rising star wine makers. Have been to a few wine dinners with him over here with suppliers, never a dull moment. Mount Mary guys I've dealt with a lot over the years. First house I ever lived in was in Wandin North. Left Melbourne pretty young though. You are fkn kidding me. Matt (Chef) and Jo(dessert queen) now ex Oakridge are industry buds who have a great thing going at Federation Sqr in Melbourne cbd called Future Food Systems. Check it out, amazing sustainable stuff. We were at the inaugural Seafood Festival w them at Flinders Island 2 years ago.
Oh, and Oakridge Winemaker has his wife buy treats at our shop. Won’t say which of course. And the guy who orchestrates the kitchen garden there helps his wife out in her shop a few doors down and buys coffee off me every day.
An to top all that, the very first wine i ever sold in 1987 in the industry was a 1984 Oakridge Quercus Cabernet when they were still up at Wandin.
Apart from that, I know fuck all about anything or anyone to do w Oakridge.
Oh, Woollies now own them.
As for the wine in the decanter, premo 2010 Coonawarra Cabernet, lookin at the empty magnum now, god it was good.
Nup Patrick of Coonawarra Home Block Cab. Never been a Riddoch fan, Michael Shiraz, yes, Black Label Cab yes, but always thought the Riddoch was over oaked.I'll guess John Riddich.
