Not a fan of the 600 kits? Will the 550s last longer because their not driven as hard as the 600s?I have 2 of the 550(V1s) and 1 600V2 now and i just ordered another 600v2,i like the dimmer knobs on the 600s myself,550s gotta use a screwdriver stuck in to dim.Ill find out how well they all work after summer and i fire back up,fishings too good here now.get the 550,it will last longer and is more efficient in its design.plus its more than enough light for the space considering you have cmh in all the corners
yeah the 120 and 132 are fine for tents/small reflective spaces.but 5 qb288 in there would be brighter haha.theres many ways to use these boards.if the op would have said he wants to light up a 4x4 or 5x5 tent i prob would have said qb132,but if it was me i would still prob use a bunch of 288 with a lower drive currentI agree with your point but disagree very much with saying the qb132 can only cover 1sqft for flower. I have a set of 9 in a 4x4 tent and have excellent coverage and getting good results. I have the same in my veg tent and often don’t have to run them all. I think it’s closer to 2 in flower, mainly because of the both the height you can have the lights above the canopy And the spread. At about 4” currently above my cola peaks I think I am probably getting peak par. I have used MH and HPS lights, luckily skipped past burple leds and have not yet done a cob build. I don’t know if I ever will, based on what I have seen these QBs do. I build mine and love the control and readouts from my multimeters.

the 600 kits are fine,i just would rather not push them to the limit or need to dim in flower.the lpw drops a bit at the higher drive currents, they have the hlg550 damn near at the optimum drive for brightness and eff.Not a fan of the 600 kits? Will the 550s last longer because their not driven as hard as the 600s?I have 2 of the 550(V1s) and 1 600V2 now and i just ordered another 600v2,i like the dimmer knobs on the 600s myself,550s gotta use a screwdriver stuck in to dim.Ill find out how well they all work after summer and i fire back up,fishings too good here now.
I hear you,the lake 10 minutes from me has killer striper fishing but high levels of mercury?WTF.yeah the 120 and 132 are fine for tents/small reflective spaces.but 5 qb288 in there would be brighter haha.theres many ways to use these boards.if the op would have said he wants to light up a 4x4 or 5x5 tent i prob would have said qb132,but if it was me i would still prob use a bunch of 288 with a lower drive current

yes you can power 4 boards with the hlg-240-2100 wired in seriesView attachment 827984 View attachment 827985 Question. Is there 1 driver I can power all 4 boards with? I bought 2 hlg100 and like em now about t buy these to fill in
I sold my cob fixture after trying out quantum boards. I have all QB's in veg and flower. Very satisfied with qb's now. Nothing wrong with cobs either, i just prefer qb's.
Ok thanks. I’ll probably be bothering you again once I get them. I have no electrical skills.yes you can power 4 boards with the hlg-240-2100 wired in series
super simple to wire up with those push in connectionsOk thanks. I’ll probably be bothering you again once I get them. I have no electrical skills.
Ok this is what amazon is coming with for driver. Is this able to plug in a regular 110v us outlet it doesn’t really say just says 95-305v do I need to put a plug end on it or is this the wrong driversuper simple to wire up with those push in connections

Well, I got tired of replacing HO t5 bulbs in veg and then 1 of the 2 ballast went out. So I decided to try a 260XL quantum board from HLG in veg (3x3) since I liked how my plc420 watt COB(replaced my 600 hps) was doing in flower. Was really impressed with the quantum board in veg, so I decided to build (2)260XL for flower in my 4x4.Can you give more detail Root? I’m trying to decide between cob and QB for 2X4X6+. Why the change for you?
I had to buy my power cords separate from the drivers.Ok this is what amazon is coming with for driver. Is this able to plug in a regular 110v us outlet it doesn’t really say just says 95-305v do I need to put a plug end on it or is this the wrong driver
I’m trying to run 1 power cord total from regular USA outlet. I can put an end on the wires. But will it run from a regular outlet or does it need a 220+ from the wall ? I plan to build the 4 on a frame with a 6 cob led I have as a centerI had to buy my power cords separate from the drivers.

Yes, i have 2 qb260 xl fixtures with 4 288 boards total powered by one 110v outlet. What I mean is the power supply needs only 1 power cord from wall. That power supply should push all 4 boards Wires between driver and boards I’m not worried about. I want to power the 4 boards from 1 110v us socket. Or will that not work?
