I'm sorry, very fake news. If you want solar just disconnect from the grid and they can't stop you. If you want it hooked to the grid you agree to the owners terms.Never said they outlawed them. Special interests related to the income of the power companies make it as hard as they can when they can. For example, some places that are grid-tied charge you a fee for buying your solar-generated electricity from you. That fee seems to be based on how much you sell back so that you only ever get a little benefit! There's situations where if your solar is grid-tied, you can't use your solar power, it's strictly to feed into the grid and you get a credit off your monthly electric bill. Not fake news, bud. Sorry!
