Right!! Each branch is its own bush. .. it needs to breathe. Open it up. .. but not w&w&en they are so little. I mean I know it can be done but you don't need to and your plants will love you more I promise.
It is branch bound. It don't know which way to grow cause its so thick it doesn't know where up is... or the light...
See how I spread my branches out without tying real young...
These are yoyo's ..... it allows the plant to grow a little and more leaf area means more photosystis the plant can do to grow.. bunched up is less leaf area to photosise. Sorry I murdered the spelling there...
And notice how you can see thru the plant... air can circulate thru there...
This plant is a little bare compared to my mother's of course...

It's nice your learning about the art of defoliation. When used correctly you'll maximise the total budsites light exposure

Yup.
Envision how many cola's you want.
Then allow them to grow into full branches.

Once the foundation is laid you need to let the cola's grow in for positioning.

Rather than keeping all the vegetation bunched up together like velcro fuzz.

Yeah but I mean correct me if I'm wrong not every plant will grow the same? Some are going to be squat bushy types no matter what. And I'm sure the light has an impact on growth too. How can I fix these? The stems are fucking hulk sized if I move them too much they break lol. They're not long spindly branches. So tell me what do!

It's not what you do now, now you just live with it. But on your seedlings, let them grow. When they get a foot tall they will have 7 nodes, top down to right above the 3rd. Veg a week and top all your tops, veg a week and flip. Use yoyo's thru out flower to pull up/ hold down branches... That's it brother...

Yup when each new growth tip forms it is soft and pliable.
After a day or 2 become hard.
You need to know exactly where you want each new growth tip so you can direct it there slowly over time.

Once in place it hardens into position.

You can't double back after its too late and say now it's time lol.

Using grow nutes and higher rh, will also keep them more bendable and able to be moved, super cropped, scrogged...
But once it hardens, its not moving....

I got lazy/distracted getting the big girls reported :( and I believe after 48hrs almost all should have gassed off. pH is fine.. ec going down a bit .. is it possible it sterilized the Rez and won't be any worse for wear?

I had a branch that i twisted too much and came off. Seeing if cloning in Coco with her own sippy cup will work :)

So I see the FloraFlex which is awesome. Based on the other thread they have 4 inch rock wool going. What sort of drip system would work with this? Could I do a 4x8 tray of this type in the big tent?

they are using Veg+Bloom 1 part nutrient and drip to waste system
they also run coco in that facility
on a drip to waste system

they colaberated with floraflex on the octa bubblers and drip set up

should be out soon in stores....pretty sweet automated gear
you could do that but they are gonna be growing 6" trees
that is why they are spread out

they have other systems where they stack them tight and run a sog type system

lol... me too!
Im fucking hard wired the same way bro!
I feel your pain....

But this time, its really really not a good idea... For one, if i can sound all fatherly, imo, you got a lot going on now. you got rdwc, coco, soil, clones in cups, clones in cloner... It can and will get confusing unless your keping extream notes.
Im gonna jump out on a limb, and say u prob havent been keeping real good notes. I think your grow would benefit from you organizing just a lil better.
What i did was, with wishers help, decided on a 3 tier plan. cloning/veg/flower areas. I then decided what kind of system i wanted for each. I also understood that each system had to work in unison, as i cant root clones in soil or veg in soil and move to rdwc... I also know i like automation, and schedules, and fomulas, percentages, etc, so i knew hydro would be the only way. Soil was not even in the equation.
So with that i decided on my waterfarm system for flower. I never could really come up with a way to veg my upper chamber buckets without having a whole other system. And thats to big.
Thats when i came up with dwc tote cloner. I used rapid rooter plugs and it worked great, but i dont like the way they get waterlogged when first put in my rdwc, with drip feed. So i went to bare root cloning. It is much slower but works great. So as you see, i evolve and the sytem evolves. but you got to have a vision of how you want this operation run.

I beleive your just like me, as in what you like, and i beleive you want big bushes like me. I also beleive you have every bit the ability i have. Its jusat a difference of me knowing my system a lil better and ive organized my setup a lot better.
Understand that im not promoting my self here, as a materfact, alomost all of you are smarter than me when it comes to nutrients and most here are smarter than me at knowing deficincy.
Im just good with my system, and i have a secret weapon... well its not a secret anymore since ive shared Wisher with you all!
Mater fact i think u all owe me a cmh for introduction fee! My mastercard charges one damn it.. I need into the 750 range.. Credit karma for 2 years helped me build that shit!

Materfact my best piece of advice for new growers is
www.creditkarma.com
Because you got to have other goals lol, and your new found extra alien cash helps tremendously with rebuild, first starting out, or maximizing your score... If you need some credit tricks i have a few. Cant get no credit, never had a credit card... Me neither... 12 months later i have 11... 4 major credit cards and 7 retail cards, 5 that i have never used, like buckle, overstock, marathon gas card.. And i used a trick to get them that tells you if your preapproved without a credit inquiry.. Just building credit score
