Hi all, @REALSTYLES , I ordered today the CXB3590, lens holders to Jerry but I don't know which connector
used with the holder. Could
you give me this information? Cheers

holders need 18wga solid wires for the cob holders and the wire should be cut to 2mm to fit in the holder properly

Vero's are ok but Cree are more efficient and you'll end up buying CXB3590 anyway so just spend the $46.50 from Kingbrite you won't regret it

I built several fixtures using the Veros and even some of the El cheapo Ebay 50w chips. I needed better veg and side lighting options ASAP and on a budget, just couldn’t justify dumping money on new shitty T5 bulbs every other month when their performance started to diminish.
With veg anyway 5000k+ crushed it. Some Strains grew a little different/odd with all cool whites(GSC and Fat purple). The addition of 2700-3500k cobs(my vero 29 fixture) made a huge difference.
I haven’t tried the cree cobs yet but I plan to. As for the veros it seems like my 2700-3500 V29s fixture wasn’t that impressive in flower as side lighting alone, meh sized buds and sluggish over all growth on the cotton candy anyway. I also used a couple of my vero18 5000k+ china cob fixtures as side lighting on other parts of the tree and they produced impressive results. Insane frost and they really brought out the purple colour on my cotton candy cut, larger size also compared to my old T5 side lighting. These are all focused on 2 trees that also have 1 vertical 1000w hps and 3 400w hps fixtures wrapped around them. They are big enough that the 4 HPS fixtures still needed help. So I cant say these observations are solid just because of the other variables.
If your on a budget and want to get your feet wet, try the Veros or even the el cheapo Cobs work very well and stomp out t5s in everyway, heat(efficiency), price(if DIY) and overall growth. With the ebay cheapos you just have to be aware of under performing chips and voltage leak. You can build a very effective COB fixture for under $100 with a little creativity. One of my first fixtures uses 2"x2" aluminium tubing my buddy had sitting in his garage with a PC fan on the end. It works great as a heat sink. I used my seek thermal imaging camera to actually see the heat disperse throughout the fixture. . I sourced more of it from a local supplier to build a couple more fixtures.
I plan on building a cree fixture similar to @REALSTYLES soon. Great work btw!

I'd like to know what you think of this too.
I like the white high power LEDs.
No fans make them seem more robust.

Hi Realstyles, I built a similar lamp for a 6X4 grow room in my garage, it's def not enough so I'm about to build a second one. Right now it's made of 8x 3070 at 1400ma, can you tell me if going with 3500k CD 72v @700ma will be that much better?

Hey RealStyles, question where did you get the fixture, looks like a large heat sink that you drilled the lights onto?

DO you have the URL of the website or information where I can buy something like that?

Thanks
