Hi Cap,
When will the e-bay stock be replenished?
Yoko
in what order are you adding these when you mix up a tank?
Ebay raised my selling limits today so there is no more shortage. I'm not out of stock, they just weren't letting me sell more than 100 items a month. Off topic. Yoko what is your recipe for success?
Ya if you don't mix separately you'll get little white floaties or mineral chunks which are gypsum. Gypsum is made when calcium bonds with sulfur. So mix everything separately and in enough volume of water to dilute properly, I turn the pump on it's side in corner and it really helps to mix that CNS17 :)
Could I switch out the MOST for peters professional S.T.E.M.? Cant seem to find the profile on the MOST. If the MOST is a Superior product please lemme know.
Cap
How do you make a cheap ph up?
Thanks
Hey Cap a question for ya: what are your feelings about the idea of the "myth of high P"? I know some users of Jack's Hydro, like snowblind I believe, advocate running the same basic formula from veg thru flower. Obviously you do not; would you care to share your rational for the changes you make to your nut formula at different points in the growing stages?
I am at the start of week five and am about to mix up some concentrates; thus far I've been running part A: 2 grams Jack's Hydro and 1 gram Epsom; part B 3 grams CalNit in 100 ppm tap with a little bleach added. So far my plants look great but I need to mix up some new concentrate tomorrow and am thinking to change up to a simplified version of your weeks 4 and 5 flower formula. I'm a bit short on funds right now and I lack your ingredients like MOST, MKP, Potash etc. but I do have a bottle of Pure Flowers . . .
Anyway I really like the concept of this thread and would like to see it get the attention it deserves . . . maybe even stickied.
Cap, what EC are you running when you use those P values?Sorry res, I just saw this.
I am a believer of low P. I feed around 30 ppm in veg and max at 60 ppm in bloom. Normally in bloom I stay at about 40 ppm, but during the course of experiments I have gone a little higher. Never more than 60.
I am playing with new formulas now. I have added back CaCl2 to my program at around .5 grams/gallon (added to the Cal Nitrate). This gives me Cl (vital mineral), and extra Ca (love Ca, it is your friend). I also picked up some MAP, and since my jacks is almost gone I am ordering potassium nitrate and magnesium nitrate so I can tailor the formulas further.
If anyone is running purple kush I have a very good formula for that. From veg through the end, I had no toxicities or deficiencies. Not even a burnt leaf tip or a shitty looking bottom leaf in week 8. It was my best looking run of all time. I can post it here if anyone is interested.
Cap, what EC are you running when you use those P values?
I see where your micros have like a 1:1 ratio for Fe:Mn. Mine is 4.5 ppms Fe to .75% Mn, at a 6:1 ratio.
I need to get some micros with your values so I can mix them both to arrive at the 2:1 Fe:Mn ratio and watch for effect.
The old hydroponic hobby book I've been checking out shows chloride at similar proposed values as K for ppms.
I would be hella interested in your purple kush values if it is convenient for you to post that info.
Gracias senor.
Sorry res, I just saw this.
No worries Cap. I'd love to see your formula for PK. Are you feeding all your strains different formulas? That sounds like a pain. Are you feeding your coco plants differently than your hydro one'? Is the Cl in CaCl turning out to not be an issue with your benes?
