Reflective Sheet Metal.

I'm wondering if anyone knowers where I can buy the highly reflective sheet metal using in hoods. Similar to the material used by Gavita. I would like to find 4'X10' sheets. I've searched it but have come up empty.

I've made a few adjusta wing type reflectors from 85% reflective aluminum sheet and they work great but 85% is not that good. I would like to take some of my great big XXLs and remove the mogul base and make a much smaller more intensely directed Gavita type reflector.

That Anomet source seems as expensive if not more so than, than just buying a good hood. Do you need some kind of custom design or something?

Ye lol hadn't checked their shipping xD. Though too, buying one unit retail and comparing it with a company buying bulk wholesale is a bit different.
You could make 4 gavita reflectors (600/750)out of that sheet. So that would put the retail single quantity cost of a reflector at 18.00. Buying larger sheets and in wholesale that may get down to 10.00....hard to say.

If a person wanted to buy the exact same reflector as gavita (would need to be wholesale quantity of course)

The Gavita replaceable units are indeed a good deal, but make sure the lamps you want to use will fit (only T style, not ED). They also recently announced several new shapes but I haven't seen them for sale yet.

Those sheets might not be a regular item from sunlight, you can check with a shop in Portland called NW Hydroponic (on Burnside). It's been a while since I was there, but they had a stack of the textured-finish material sunlight uses in their hoods, roughly 3x3 maybe.
