Sorry the sick looking yellow plant that went in 2 weeks ago is a Chem Og. Not a Chocolate Chunk.
This underfed and oversprayed girl is an afghan peach

Started some hvac work. Installing a portable ac inside the flower tent and then ducting a supply and return over to the veg.
The plan is the cool and dehumidify the main tent with the hot air from the ac going out one 6” vent. Then duct a supply and return between the tents. Then pull an exhaust from the veg tent into a scrubber and out. Hope I can keep the condensation heat and humidity at bay this summer. Just say no to bud rot.

Afghan peach 2 came down tonight. Beefy looking buds on a short plant. Very little bs. Into the drying box. The smell is obnoxiously strong, fruity and sweet like a grape bubblegum factory meltdown.

Letting the big bag thin out a bit. The worms are insane. Every bit of material below the straw mulch is alive with small red worms. Thinking I’ll start some European night crawlers to stir the bottom of the bag as I have heard this recommended.
Blumats have been fritzing a bit. I’m thinking it’s time to reboot those. One of the tiny tubes that passes through the carrot pulled free and allowed my reservoir to empty into the bag. This was hardly a problem. A smallish puddle on the floor to clean up. However the blumat system is now working spottily.
Veg is getting overgrown. I need to learn to pace myself with the clones.
Also I got my tomatoes in finally. Maybe two weeks late. Reammended their bed with barley, neem, alfalfa, azomite, gypsum, crab and oyster shell, and kelp. This is my first tomato run using mycorrhizal innoculant

Hi. . .

Your stuff looks great, just a couple questions.

How many plants do you have in that one big bag & does having that many plants in such close proximity affect roots & flowers. Aaaand, what is the purpose of the cover crop?
I have never grown in a tent so this stuff is all new to me, I am an outty as opposed to an inny.

Thanks. . .

DTG.

It is getting better and better! The outdoor bed is also very nice!May be if I had tent I would also try similar approach with one enormous pot for flowering.
Thanks for reading along Ina. Your and other’s interest keeps me wanting to post my results here Which in turn motivates me to be a less lazy gardener. I do hope my soil is getting better and better. Best to you.

DTG. I’ve had 7 smaller plants in there but 5 or 6 is probably more like what I can manage. When my plants were in individual pots I used to jam them in pretty good as well.
Your other 2 questions are related I think. I am hoping to create a living soil microcosm in the bag. This includes a healthy mycorrhizal colony which should form like a matrix amongst the roots of both the ganja plants and the smaller companion plants with it.
In addition the clover is allegedly a dynamic accumulator, which means it is able to take nitrogen and other nutrients out of the air and make them plant available. When I mow down my cover crop it becomes a mulch which feeds my worms and keeps the life alive in the bag.
I hope all the plants especially the herb will join this root party and get down to the business of growing my buds. Haha. Anyway I like to think of the clover and legumes as the understory, like the grasses and small plants around the base of forest trees.
This is a fascinating experiment for me and I appreciate you reading along. If you are interested in Learning more there is a lot of info on the YouTube etc. check out Joshua Steensland and Herbin Farmer and also the great video by mendo dope of Minnesota Nice and his no till setup. All of these inspired my method.

Cut Afghan Peach #2. Really stinking the place up. Replaced it with a clone of Chocolate Chunk (Naiomi).

Tropicana Cookies #1 is crunching out some really dense buds. I know nothing about this strain. Not strong in the nose yet and the buds aren’t really stacking up. In size yet. We shall see.

Tropicana cookies is pumping out some tight little nugs. I’m told this is a keeper. No discernible smell yet.
