I picked up a strain from a local dispensary. The strain is (for example) called "Froggytime". I got this "Froggytime" some months ago and it was amazing. Perfect strain for me. This new "Froggytime" is definitely not the same. I guess it may be a different pheno of the same "Froggytime" strain but it is horrible, gives me headaches, numbs my brain, makes me a useless waterbag. Physically it looks totally different as well.

I am going to take whats left of it (I smoked maybe 0.5g of 2g's) and ask for a refund or replacement from different strain. Has anyone done this before?

The refund isn't because I was misled-- the price is lower and the guy selling it mentioned it is different. I'd simply like to return it because it is just not that good weed. Has no medicinal value for me at all. am i in the right expecting a refund / exchange? I think i am you tell me what u think

they will prolly weigh it and give you the equal amount in a different strain

I for sure would, and make a big seen telling everyone how crappy the shit was if they chose not to do right....Thats me though.

You buy a couple grams every couple months and you are going to try and exchange it? I would tell you to go pound sand and hope I lost your business.

Wow, I'm so glad I don't work in a dispensary. What a nightmare.

Never heard that one before but its kinda catchy.

Being a total broke ass mofo, I understand having no cash. But returning 1.5 grams of smoke to a dispensary seems a bit crazy to me. Last time I got lousy weed I just rolled a fat dutch master, problem solved.

I think it could go either way... Personally I would complain, if the dispensary doesn't know it is crap then they need to know at minimum and buy better weed.

I would never grow and smoke anything that isn't top shelf, there are simply too many choices out there. When I give flowers to the dispensary They are on point and I would definately like to know if ANYONE didn't like what I grew. Of course the key is to complain right away. If you complain a month later then there is already another batch in the jar. I bet the grower got lucky with the first batch, and then grew another plant and gave it the same exact name, place bought it and they don't care about anything but money...

To you mane, some people smoke little bitty pieces and are satisfied. So a g may last someone 5 days. Ive seen it before. Bottom line its that mans shit. He should have known but the dispensary shouldn't have even been passing that shit out.

I know I wouldn't. I take pride in everything I do.

As for what I do. I look at it like this, I know if I get a bad batch its my fault for not paying attention to what the fuck I was doing. I dont go charge my customers extra because of my fuck up tho. I keep it real. If its less quality tell em. If u lost out on money its your fault. Dont tax people because your stupid.

blackcat thought you were setting up a 28k garden or something? maybe roll the rest of it up in J's and hand them out to a couple old bums, it will make you feel good

i've done it. see no harm in it. some clubs out here don't even bat an eye, just simply ask what else you want. Including The GreenCross, a delivery service that will bring you another batch if you don't like it for any reason. Its service. Some clubs chose to provide better service to their patients. It couldn't hurt to ask.

He said it gave him a headache. I've been given weed that did that to me, I wouldn't then pass that shit on to someone else unless I hated that person.

Yeah... I missed that part.

But I do like to pass j-birds to the peeps at the corner or that pass by... have definitely brightened up a few days that way. Liked the idea of it w posted... tough spot.

Quite frankly, I like the idea of returning the weed to suggest that a certain expectation in quality is emerging & that practices of old are no longer going to cut it. Gotta admit that a lot of dips push out garbage... if peeps refuse to take it, then they will be in a spot... step it up or sit on a lot of really cheap trash. If they can't step it up, enter back the high-end caregiver... regardless of the laws. Overall, a higher expectation by the average customer will always help the high-end grower.

It's just funny that we are now at the age where people can return weed for exchange & that this might already be 'store policy' at a few spots... pretty cool, though funny. :)

I'm a little late coming into this but here is my two cents worth, I don't smoke a lot of weed because I'm a hash guy primarily but yes a g or any other amount is worth taking back just on principles alone!

We have a local dispensary and the guy there is an asshole so I would take it back to him for sure however I would probably just give it away but then again I'm not sure why too many peeps on the farm are making donations for weed anyways?

If I get crappy product it's my own dam fault and I need to learn how to grow better....LOL

Cheaper doesnt mean they should still call it the same thing and it should also mean that the person buying it should know its of a lesser quality. I dont know, for me if I got it cheap id just make one hell of a peanutbutter sandwhich with what was left but if I paid top dollar for it id definitely take it back.
