1/8 th ? Evan a gram all squished in someone’s front pocket stunk out the carYeah man fuck Cookies. I swear all that candy shit just ruined it. I remember back in HS and College when an 1/8th double bagged in your backpack would still skunk out the car. Impossible to hide. Those were the days LOL
Not true I have a few verifiable original seeds cuts and heirloom crosses but then again I’m old as dirtI highly doubt if anyone has original cuts of anything from years ago today. They just make shit up to gain followers and make money. If there is, you ain't gonna find it on IG or these forums.
Todays weed world has turned into a huge "clusterfuck".
I don't buy seed anymore. No need to. I have plenty of good ancestry before "GSC" began being bred into everything.
You should have tried growing it indoors pre carbon filters -we used ionizers Lysol and carpet fresh type stuff to do our best to cover it up and it still wasn’t very effective. At least now I run a lot of filters and I can cover up the ak/SS stench, as well as some really old hash plant that stanks that I’ve been running I think at least gas far back as ‘88 but I’d have to dig thru my journals to be certain.1/8 th ? What’s the lineage? They are dam skunky bro just really starting to push out pistols now. I will be showing pics when there is a little more to show. So far so good!
The two skunkiest ones in the tent right now are the 1992 Mexican skunk from I_Grow_Skunk and also the 1990s San Diego Catpiss which is a Kush piss variety. What’s the lineage?
Love to hear it brotherThe two skunkiest ones in the tent right now are the 1992 Mexican skunk from I_Grow_Skunk and also the 1990s San Diego Catpiss which is a Kush piss variety.
You can't imagine how many seed are tucked away in drawers and cabinets of the old timers like me, especially after the pandemic hit. Lots of estate sales etc and the seed will be lost to time. The two skunkiest ones in the tent right now are the 1992 Mexican skunk from I_Grow_Skunk and also the 1990s San Diego Catpiss which is a Kush piss variety.
Love hearing this . I’ve been asking older clients I paint for here in BC , and every time I go to a thrift store , I ask if they ever find seeds tucked away in something … no luck yetYou can't imagine how many seed are tucked away in drawers and cabinets of the old timers like me, especially after the pandemic hit. I'm still finding seed that were stashed away years ago.
I had seed from the 80's I found about 10 years ago and tried to start them, but didn't have any luck.
I know a lot more about starting old seed now and wished I hadn't wasted them.
Lesson learned.
They oldest seeds I got to pop that wasn't preserved properly is 13 years old. I got 2/25. Technically 3/25 but one died off very quickly after sprouting. I wish I had known then to supplement enzymes to help boost it until it has an established tap root to start feeding off the soil, but I was still learning thenYou can't imagine how many seed are tucked away in drawers and cabinets of the old timers like me, especially after the pandemic hit. Thanks brotherBro ……you’ve preserved the skunk strain … lower your head and raise your voice in song
Keep me posted on that Maruf Black monOverdue skunk hunt update:
Only 2 of the Thousand Oaks turned out to be female. Both are similar in smell, but differ slightly in vigor and nutrient sensitivity. Of the males, there was one absolute stinker ( acrid BO and dirty gym socks)that was cloned for pollen collection.
In the meantime I popped various “skunk” seeds to add to the search:
Maruf Black
I_GROW_SKUNK skunk and 70s afghan
Oldschoolchronic Kentucky Red Hair skunk F2
Seedlings were grown in solo cups, and neglected. Clones were taken from each plant and they were flipped to flower about 10 days ago. For each strain all males were removed from the tent, and the best male was kept to keep the lines pure. It’s to early to draw many conclusions, but here are some notes:
Maruf Black- clearly a pure indica. Huge beautiful leaves, doesn’t need many nutrients. Aroma is nice on the rub, but not too distinct yet. Still waiting on sex.
I_GROW_SKUNK - only only female that is just starting to throw pistils. To early to tell, but promising stem rub. There is one 70s afghani (maybe a 2nd, still waiting to see). Both have nice sort of “hashy” stem rubs.
Oldschoolchronic kys f2 - three females from lot. Very different phenos. One is an auto and not particularly interesting. The other has a very bizarre structure, stem rub is sort of peppery and earthy. The third is a normal looking plant, and has a nice stem rub so far.
I’m very excited to see how flowering progresses. I had some pH issues so the plants aren’t the healthiest. But this run was more about identifying plants for seeds, so it’s okay in my book.
So far, I’m very excited. An interesting note about the male Thousand Oaks F5. The rub is rank, but it’s not “skunk”. However, the room they are in alone is clearly skunky. Something about the way the odors volatilize contributes to the perceived skunky odor (I think).

If they are throwing pistils early, should be an early finisher then. Your growing the 70's Afghani right? Those ladies can actually finish in 56-60 days... Usually I take most to 62 because the bud structure gets wicked nice and more plump, imo.Overdue skunk hunt update:
