I bought five packs from his years back. Ran the Crippy it was pretty solid. Not RKS but still good herb. His ECSD is supposed to be the loudest out of all his strains. I got that info directly from the horses mouth. We talked via email the owner told me ECSD is his loudest strain he said carbon will be essential with that one. I have a pack but still haven’t ran it. It’s in my seed vault

Right on. Thanks it's a pretty solid setup, but never enough space. 🤣

The Super Skunks are slower to root. So far about 50% have rooted but will keep them going to see how many more pop.

"Roadkill" Skunk early flowering. Took 12 clones & flipped the original plant.

The smell from this plant is rank! Full on roadkill/skunk spray from the leaf & stem rubs & stem scratches. I can't see how this plant can be anything other than RKS / skunk bud.

The Super Skunk smell is overpowering catpiss coming off the plant & when you brush against it. Leaf & stem rubs - also skunk spray, but different. Weird burnt garlic/ onion smell too. Hard to describe but it's "higher" notes of skunk piss?/spray, as opposed to "lower & deeper dead skunk" from the RK.

Definitely 2 real skunk plants. Is the SS a full on "Roadkill"? Too early to tell.

Ya know. When I had the real deal skunk bud growing back mid 80’s it stank like skunk from the time the first leaves showed up. This has a stink to it but so far not the stank. Said to be best taken 85 to 88 days so have bout 60 days left. Lots can happen in 60 days. However I’ve been disappointed so many times since loosing the real deal. I’ve heard it’s dam potent as well. Will be making xs with afghan in the raw see what we can coax out of the mix, should be some killers in them.

That's what I remember about skunk too. Every stage of growing reeked! Did you grow a sativa skunk back then or was it a short bushy indica?

Heya skunky I’m rooting for you in your search for the real deal! I remember back then I had friends that tried growing them but the real wasn’t worth the gamble. Yet other strains they were growing stank too not as bad but when you walked close to his outside door you cold smell it. I asked him what the strain was and he called I Purple that was back in 87

Got 4 to pop. Supper leggy but very fast growers. They stretch like that regardless of light intensity.

I will grow these in the tent until theyre healthy enough to go outdoors. I have a spot on my families land at the foot of the mountains. I think the pungent odor is due to shale runoff in the hills that is very rich in sulfur. I dont think it can be replicated indoors, at least not initially. Theres too many people looking, i think it would have been found by now. Will pollenate some branches and will take those seeds and put them in the fridge, then will replant next year in the same place. If it doesnt express itself by next fall I will then give up. Dont call me on any of my bullshit, there is no science. Just a hunch. Let me enjoy it, I have nothing better to do anyways

Super Skunk early flower. Buds are starting to form already. Didn't top these ones cuz I liked the structure and wanted to see how it grows. Looking like she might throw some spears!

I'll have to dig up the photos to compare it, but it was either from one of the old seed catalogs, or somewhere buried in all of the posts about Skunk across the forums. 😅 It's quite the rabbit hole so it may take some time to find those again.

Usually there's odd numbered blades on the leaves (5,7,9,11 etc), but this one has 8 due to that very small reverse leaflet. From my understanding that was a signature sign of the old skunk 1.

All of the newer skunk phenos I see lately have broad leaves, but if you look at the old photos like from Madjag Canyon etc. most of the Skunks had a very thin, narrow leaf, sativa dominant structure. This Super Skunk appears to have many of those older traits.

If you read the description of Nevil's Super Skunk, he made it by crossing the 2 best skunk phenotypes together to create a skunk lovers' strain. The Skunk 1 he got from Sam, which back then still had the rks genetics. He crossed that with the Afghan T, which he called the "skunk archetype" and had just as much rks as the skunk 1.
