Theres only 1 person Ive ever seen in 42 years of puffin who can twist one up as good as I can. Weve both have lots of pratice and am sure between us many thousands have been spun...

Well, where I'm from it's all blunts all the time. I'd put my blunt rolling skills up against your joint rolling skills any day of the week. I'm always practicing J's, but if I really need one twisted up good I let the lady take care of it (or better yet, my big bro--if he's around). These days, I tend to prefer glass--its just more conservative and provides a more unadulterated flavor.

I am super anal about keeping my pieces clean, though. After each session they get tossed into alcohol bath to soak for a bit.

I dig water pipes for a group setting, or for times when I'm just trying to blast off--but usually I'm just trying to "maintain" and I prefer a run-of-the-mill bowl for that, or a chill 'em if I'm smoking solo (which is never my preference).

When I drive, I do roll a few J's before taking off (and I drive a good amount) so that I can eat all the evidence if I should be pulled over. Every now and again I'll pull a page from a french buddy of mine and roll up a spliff or two--especially if I'm getting low on bud.


Chicken, as for the lighter flavor--have you given any thought to using a hemp wick? This is my preferred solution to that problem--once you try it, you'll never go back. You shit soot and what not even onto your joints from the butane lighters.


For a big group, nothing beats a high-quality hookah (done properly).

joints are the way for me too, i take pride in my rolling ability and have done em the same since i was 13yrs old :D

I like joints and enjoy one on occasion. I feel like they are a bit of a luxury item so save them for the right time. Bowls are my go to way of medicating when im busy. I gotta get one of those Embur things, they look like a good idea. Bongs are my favorite and I rip mine every chance i get. Stay medicated @_@

Imo some weed just tastes better in different smoking methods. Similar to how the bluecheese that I ran, I loved it when it was just dry it cured and lost it's blueberry notes. I love bongs and bubblers but the og I've been puffing on really shines in a paper. I prefer raw if thats the case.

I will call ya on that one Squig. I roll it all and fast. Makes my buddy sick that I role perfect joints. Shit my homies from Toledo couldnt believe a white boy could role blunts so nice. And not a wrap!;)

And I love Doobies! Hands down the best way to taste that herb. Hogs in a JOB. Nothing better with my morning coffee.:cool:

Anyone know what rolling papers are made from? I am not a joint smoker but I wonder whats in the paper and whether some brands are cleaner than others.

They make organic rolling papers too, hemp ones are good clean burning,well some brands are.....I just dont care for the ones allready flavored, kills the buds taste...

back in the 70's they had all these flavored papers..like banana, strawberry, etc. I thought they were quite cheesey and they came in all colors too.

Kolah hemp and rice paper are clean and burn well.
I like KingSize Elements ,(ultra thin rice paper) personally but there are several good brands like Club,etc......
And I would never roll a spliff without smoking tips.......:)

There is no reason to choose one over the other. All methods have merits that I enjoy. Hard to pull the bong out at a concert, dont want to fire up a whole joint when I need a little boost before walking around Walmart laughing at people, iced up bong hits for breakfast...or the brownie?

I know I'lm gonna probably hear a bunch of sh!t but....I prefer smoking blunts. I use bowls, when I'm at work I use a chillum. But I love to take a drive and smoke a fat blunt and listen to some good tunes.-SE

I smoke pipe tobacco and occasionally a good cigar but would never think of inhaling either.
I think blunts are rolled with cigar leaf paper. Isn't it a very strong smoke?

I love it. Usually burns out about halfway through. Usually I've had enough by that point anyway. - SE

Depends on the blunt some are made with smokers in mind and consist of what is essentially tobacco flavored paper. I prefer a true tobacco leaf myself--but then again, I am a cigarette smoker (as are most of the weedsmokers where I'm from).

If I want tobacco I smoke a cig. ;) No blunts for this old dude.

I'm liking the perk pipe my wife bought for me :)
...but yeah...sucking on the butane lighter is no good :mad:
I have some hemp wicks coming and a cool glass wick despencer/holder :D
