I wanna change out my airstones next round thou and for my other room now what are the airlines all about and your diffusers and how and where did u install them I don't quite understand the clip zip tie thing u showed can u ellaborate before those bad boys get to big?

Using zip tie anchors to hold your air stones in place was just hypothetical. I don't use them. When I first ran the Under Current, I ran it with the air stones it came with and placed them in the center of the buckets at the bottom. bd

Hi there Ben, very nice work. What brand dehumidifier do you have in there?

Thanks!
I use Phoenix dehumidifiers. They are the 200 HT models. These particular models will remove a maximum of 32 gallons a day at saturation and come with a condensate pump. They are not cheap... In the range of $2,500 each but, well worth it for me. bd

If the chiller is capable of cooling say, 500 gallons, but you're only cooling the water in the cool coil lines and a 15 gallon reservoir, he's only cooling about 20 gallons of water with a chiller capable of cooling 500 gallons.....

I don't see the logic in this, and am trying to get a better understanding of why he would need such a large chiller to cool such little amounts of water.....

Say you have TWO SYSTEMS, same room, different chillers.

(1)One is a UCXL16, chiller+cool coil combo.
(2)the other is a UCXL16, chiller+cool coil combo.

The first system (1) has a 1/2 hp chiller.
The second system (2) has a 2 hp chiller.

They're both going to cool the coils (closed circuit, 20,30,40,50 gallons), and once they do, both coils will draw heat out just as efficiently..

SO WHY THE 2HP CHILLER? It's not going to take 2HP worth of chilling power to cool the amount of water in the closed circuit...

Edit: I dont mean to hi-jack the thread, either!! Sorry!

HaHa! No worries...
I will say this though....

There is something that you haven't considered... Power consumption. The smaller chiller will be running more and in turn using more power. Not only that, it will also put off more heat. If it is set outside then this shouldn't be an issue but, if it is located inside of the building, it will be. Also take into account that I am chilling near 800 gallons. Not 20 like you mentioned before. bd

Ah that Frost king insulation wrap is actually available (at least where I live) only at Lowes. I went to home depot and I got the bert stare when I asked for it. I actually prefer Lowes anyways since they give me a daily 10% Veteran Discount unlike Home Ripoff they wont. Clowns.. anyways.. hope everyone else can find the stuff.

Flower Room #2 : Vegetative Growth

This round I am going to veg. and flower my plants in this room. I am also going to be doing a side by side experiment between the two systems in this room as well. I installed an Oxy-Gen from OSO Research & Development on system #1 in this room. In short it is supposed to separate the oxygen from the H2O and leave it suspended in the water. In turn, Raising the oxygen levels and negatively charging the ions in the water. To make my life a little bit easier I also installed continuous read meters for my tanks... bd:nerd

Yikes what is doing on with all the yellowing and some lower wilting on the others, some big deficiency or what? Your room is SUPER charged are you experimenting with something with your nutes or what? No insult intended just curious they are not looking too healthy. Should bounce back nice though.

None taken...
You are right. The plants in the veg. room went in a little beat up. They were some of the left over plants from another project. I was originally going to throw them out and started to neglect them but, then decided to give them a home at the last minute... They are starting to snap out of it.

Thanks Shady!
I have 6,000 watts in my veg. room and all of them are dual arc.

No... No issues here. Its all about placement in relation to water levels. Not sure what you consider big rock wool cubes but, the ones I use are only 4X2.

cool - I use 3" - a few threads I read had me all paranoid about using them so I took new cuts of my wifi in 1 inch cubes.

just now starting to get roots to the bottoms of the netpots, the delay worked out good anyhow - gave me more time to get the room dialed in

appreciate you taking the time to answer all the posters in your thread!

keep it green bro - peace
