Had a good day today, went to the hydro store. I was planning to pay for my 1k ballast and pick it up in a few days. Didn't realize the owner was kind enough to have ordered it and it arrived in their shipment while I was there! I wanted a Budget Gro II but they ordered Crop Masters which are a little more, he hooked me up on it though due to the mix-up and gave me a nice price on a lamp cord/socket so I left quite happy. Moral of the story is support your local store and they'll return the favor. :D I moved things around to get an idea of how everything's going to look set up. I decided to keep my 400w MH on throughout flower and hung my 1k right off the end of the reflector. The reflector is angled up slightly to makeup for the offset of the 400w light relative to the canopy and also to allow heat to funnel vertically off the end of the reflector. I don't have a fan for under my shelf yet. I'm thinking about just getting a cheap box fan and putting it up on blocks on the corners, it's about the right width and should make a good column of airflow, we'll see on that one. I'm going to start the 36hr dark period today; I'm waiting on a HPS bulb that's en route (thanks again kind sir!) so I'll be starting 12/12 with my MH. Hopefully this will control the strech a bit along with a Purple Maxx foliar. The clones I took will have to go in my dresser cabinet under a little walmart T8 grow floro for now.

Hope all these veg/early flower pics aren't too boring. ;)

I moved my shelves around and lashed a $15 20" box fax to the bottom of the center shelf, creates a nice column of air to direct the heat off the light.

I took some snaps of all the plants while they were spread out around the room.

Preflowers are showing on all 3 Qrazy Train plants, my untrained eye sees #1 and 2 are female and #3 is male but I'm not 100% on that. The side shots show #1 putting more energy into it's side branches then I expected; out of nowhere it seemed to bush out. #3 is very focused on it's main stem and not putting much energy into it's branches, I'm almost hoping it is male so I can collect a little pollen. I charted all my plants' current height and snapped a pic for the journal.

Not much to update, the 1k HPS and 400 MH are both live, I can't take pics with the lights on until I construct a shroud for the vert bulb. I did sneak in there after the girls were asleep tonight and took some shots of the room. Overall the plants are looking pretty good, vert growth has been on average .8 inches per day and all the plants are branching out more since flipping to 12/12. Also I made a nice trade locally, my Pineapple Express clone for a Reserva Privada OG Kush seed. 4 days from seed and it looks like it's going to have a bright future.

Day 10 Flower:

I took the ladies out of the flower room today to snap some shots. Pineapple Express and Qrazy Train #2 are turning out nice and bushy. Sour Cream, Kandy Kush and Blueberry Gum aren't exactly bushy, but they are still throwing out plenty of potential colas at their nodes. I'm not sure what gets the most credit for this but the stretch has been very mild since flipping to 12/12, only 5in on average so far. I'm really curious how the vert HPS, the MH light and the Purple Maxx feeding are contributing to this, but I would have to isolate each variable in future grows to know for sure. The box fan under my HPS is really doing the trick, I can put my hand to within 1-2 inches comfortably and the plants are perfectly happy at 8-10 inches from the beastly 1k bulb.

Qrazy Train #1 fooled me! I thought it was a female but it was just slow to develop, lo and behold we have balls... oh well at least I didn't get totally skunked on the Qrazy Train.

Day 17 Flower:

I was able to hook the lamp bulb box to the socket for 5-10 sec at a time so I took a couple of the girls in the flower room, not much to report but the Bloombastic seems to have helped trigger the budding stage. The hempys haven't required much water either, about 2 liters every 3 days, so far so good.

Day 24:

Took some pics of the room, first the AeroTub! I stuck random lowers in this thing and I'm going to leave it in the flower room to root and grow under 12/12.

Blueberry Gum is looking so purdy, really putting on the frost now, still looking like a 50 day girl.

Pineapple Express is looking to be a good yielder, also putting on the frost now.

Qrazy Train is also going to be a good yielder, looks indica dom to me. Def purpling up and frosting up.

Kandy Kush is shooting for the sky! I thought the stretch was done then this thing shot up 7 inches. Looks like a later finisher like Sour Cream.

And Sour Cream, no overview pic b/c the one I took was blurry, but it's the plant to the right of the AeroTub in that pic. This one will probably be the last one harvested.

A peek under the hood of the AeroTub on day 9. The PEx cuttings rooted the quickest just like they did in ProMix, actually the order they are rooting is the same with Sour Cream showing hardly a hint of rooting. I added my microbial cocktail yesterday now that there are roots to protect but I started this with non pHed tap water and H202 for a week.

hey man they are lookin really nice, as far as the pics tho, i wouldn't go in the room during lights out on 12/12 and use the flash. with regular seeds that can cause the plants to herme, which i'm sure u don't want

Thanks for stopping in! About the flash thing that only happened once or twice not long after the lights went off so I'm not worried that stressed them into hermie, thanks for looking out though.

Here's Blueberry Gum, man I can't wait for the swell on this one, getting really dense and has a yummy sweet tart scent.

Here's PEx, filling out nicely, looks like 3 weeks left on her.

Here's Qrazy Train, you can see how purple she's getting from underneath, going to be quite a looker in a few weeks.

Here's Kandy Kush, she's the Amazon of the group more then doubling in height. Lots of budsites, looks like it could be a nice yield if they fill out.

And finally Sour Cream, the one with the longest flower time also looks to be a heavy feeder despite it's size. This one also could be a heavy yielder if it fills out nice.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to her too! Totally indica, I lollipopped her as an excuse to sample... already gives a moderate stone and munchies! I'm hoping that donkey dick swells to a couple zips... we'll see. All the girls have lots of resin now, scentwise Qrazy Train is subtle, little musky/hashy that notably reminds me of purple trainwreck I've had.

Kandy Kush is also subtle in scent, little more skunky then musky but not profuse. Stretchy, buds all over good amount of resin, seems consistant with the lineage of OG and TW, I don't know what to think of her yet though.

Sour Cream has come on strong in the last week! Very pungent sour skunk resin all over, she's pretty too with those skinny rounded sativa leaves and buds all over, excellent penetration in vert lighting. I wasn't sure about her because of the 10 week flower time and she may be worth the wait but damn does she take a long time to root. She might work for tree grows with vert lighting.

Pineapple Express on the other hand roots readily and rapidly, she's already got the spot for the 0-day veg SOG I'm planning for a possible move. I swear she smells like my rotten fruit pheno C99. She loved branching out but I trimmed her down to 4 main tops. Right now they are going spear shaped and will be some good porn in a week.

The BB Gum smellwise is pretty pungent. She's interesting in that she truly smells like candy, a fruity tart just like sweetarts or smarties.

You know, It's funny I didn't expect much from the G13 Labs gear, but I got 2 for 2 keepers... this has been a good promo for me hehe :)

Day 38:

Took some close up shots today and a 15 day root shot of the AeroTub. No feeding today but yesterday was a feed of 2 gal H2O, 2.5ml/gal Bloombastic, 2ml/gal CNS17, 10ml/gal Sweet total EC 0.9 pH 5.8. I took 2 shots of the Qrazy Train to show off the purple, she's really packing on the frost now. All the other girls are developing nicely too, they've been getting lollipopped with extreme prejudice, the price of being dry :(
