Not normal. Its cannibalizing its stored reserves. Why did you choose coco? Ever grown a plant of any kind before?

🤣 have you? what are you talking about? Why have snarky attitude when you don't actually know what you're talking about? Lmao, Pure coco done right can damn near keep up with DWC and NFT tables. It's literally one of the most fruitful growing methods there is when it's done right. The only way to out perform pure coco is to make the leap to full hydro setups.

Shes hungry, time to start feeding, theres nothing in coco to eat, its jsut a substrate. You also cant ever let coir totally dry out or you've gone too far. Plants in a soiless substrate like pure coco or peat/perlite have to start being fed sooner then in a more typical soil.

Obviously it's not being done right. That hemp can easily be dead in a week if he doesnt scream for help. It's probably his first plant ever.

even more reason to not be a condescending prick.

Why imply he's an idiot for choosing the most fruitful grow method around instead of helping the first time grower? There's only one idiot here.

Go somewhere else lol. The op wants help not condescending attitude and insults disguised as constructive criticism. You're the one who needs that in my opinion.

Looks real fruitful. Like yellow bananas. I'm not implying he is an idiot. He doesn't know what a seedling is supposed to look like, and chose a growing medium based on hype. This is the result of such things. At least he can see what it's supposed to look like. No coco cheerleading is going to let him know what a healthy seedling is supposed to look like.

The op wants help
Then why didnt you comment on the state of his seedling? Or show him what it's supposed to look like? Maybe you are the guy selling him 12 bottles of shit he doesn't need.

Nobody cares about your opinion, and you haven't helped.

Planted in coco coir.

If these are your first plants, first grow, you need to get a bag of soil appropriate for cannabis and transplant them into soil. If not you are in for a wallet draining, sad ride, so make room for storing all kinds of products like a good consumer. With soil its way more simple.

I used these root starter plugs https://strngseeds.com/equipment/rapid-rooter-starter-plug-for-seeds/
I don't think I'll use them again

They should have nutes in them... But they are spongy and seems easy to overwater.. trying to let them dry out some but it's taking forever.. When you touch the plug, it feels wet to the touch ..

Only other thing is ph.. waiting for this damn delivery of ph down/up .. but 7 is not terrible..

Those roots plugs work just fine my friend! Welcome and congrats at giving the old Cannabis Grow a try!! Ignore the troll......some people hate living in a small bedroom at their parents house into their mid 30's and having to pick up and clean after their 4th StepDad!!!

even more

If you have a fan let it blow lightly over the growing medium to help it dry. You dont have to buy stuff to adjust pH you probably have stuff around the house to do it. I use vinegar to lower pH for example. 7 is ok, not perfect but ok. Not a big worry. Most any cannabis soil will have some nutrients in it for about 1-2 weeks. If you get something like allmix from biobizz it's got nutrients for a month or more. The soil already is between 6 and 6.5 and will buffer imbalances somewhat depending. Your real problem is chlorosis. There really isnt much roots established yet. Immediate help would be a foliar feeding even for a tiny plant. It drinks through the cotyledons anyway before its roots are established. But yours has its first set of real leaves which means the roots have just started to work, but barely. Research what you can foliar feed for nitrogen and make a weak nitrogen foliar feed. Foliar feed for an adult plant would be too strong. Just dont burn wet leaves with the light. Give it a foliar feed in the morning/lights on so the stomata are open and ready to go, spray under the leaves and on stem too but leave the light off or very dim until it absorbs the feed. Or wait for products and hope. Its diy or wait for products. Get used to buying products if continued use of coco.

Also beware if coco isn't pre-buffered, calmag issues are coming next. I just switched to a new potting mix that is coco and other composted wood fines etc. Plus mild amendments. Plants loved it for about 10-14 days then horrific calmag deficiency (I think) dropped like a hammer. Foliar fed calmag and added to irrigation seems to have arrested the progression but was amazed at how damn fast it came on. Messaged the manufacturer (Dirtcraft) to inquire if the coco in their mix is buffered (suspecting not) but have yet to hear back.

This hype around coco is there just to sell products, maintenance products, many products. They intentionally screw up your grow so you buy the remedy products, then the bug products... wise up. It's nothing but gimmicks to empty your wallet. Stop falling for the marketing and cannabis botany misinformation. Plants grow in dirt, been that way for millennia. It's a damn plant, be a gardener. You want it to be harder than it is. Put a seed in some quality dirt, water it once in a while and it grows by itself.

It's weird to see them that yellow but it IS normal... sometimes. Two seeds from the same mother, less likely to be normal and two seeds from different mothers doing that, it's likely your environment. When they're that little there's no nute problem... well there is if you gave them any. They don't... CAN'T... take nutes up through their roots until they get to the third node. Until then they get their nourishment from their cotyledons. So environment you gotta go through the checklist, is it being watered right, is the pH out of whack, how hot is the tent, how humid is it, how bright is the light and how close to it are the plants, how much air flow is there, etc. etc. etc. If you're feeding anything before third node I'd suggest a couple drops of kelp in the water and that's it.

So I had been waiting on pH down so the water they been getting was about 7 pH... And I didn't think I needed nutes this soon...

Well, when I added some nutes they didn't seem to respond... And I was getting runoff a little over 7pH...
So maybe nutes lock?

I still didn't have pH down, so I took some old coffee grounds and threw them into my gal of water with the nutes.. it took the pH down to under 4! I had ph up, so I got it too 5.4pH and 480ppm...
Strained the grounds out of the water..

I watered the root starter with 25ml of water. (I was still afraid all this was due to over watering)

Yesterday - After 24hrs there was a noticable lift to the main leaves. Still droopy, but not as bad.. going in the right direction

I also got my delivery of ph +/- yesterday
So, I made up another batch
5.4ph
478ppm

This time gave at least a cup of water each and got some run off..
Runoff pH was between 6.4-6.6
Ppm 460-525

Today they continue to Improve, leaves are nearly standing straight again.

I'm guesing I didn't wash the coco long enough when rehydrated it... Hopefully flushing later on can fix it .. or when I transplant to larger bags I can rewash and mix with coco that was washed correctly ..

Also, the base of the stems on some of the seedlings are red? Why is that? Nutritiant imbalance?

Hey bro, its tough to give advice without some visuals. Post a few pics and someone can chime in. Cheers

agree coco is on par with dwc only problem you have to water regulary and its always drain to waste.not soo good for enviorment or your pocket
