fans a great idea, it should oscilate, other wise you will have to do alot of turning your youngins. If its a fixed fan, hang in front of fan a small square piece of cardboard from a string. it will swing around being buffeted by the wind and will create random gust. and lex is right about not getting the fan to close, been there done that.

Not sure if you already have it solved but I always try and put my beans half way into the pot and fill soil as able. Once in a while though you have a really stretchy bean that pops and I use just skewers (like you'd do shish-kabobs with). I just lean the fragile stalk on the skewer as I've damaged more than 1 attempting to 'tie' it to the skewer.
