what type of ph solution are you using?
I’m just using ph up and down general hydroponic solution and adding it to tap water to make it more acidic since my tap water is at 8.5. Made some more drainage holes and put the plants into this little contraption lmao.

Ok, that's fine. here is something you can try to give you a peace of mind. Perform a slurry mix with your soil and that will give you an idea of what the ph of soil is going to be when you add your tap water.

Grab a cup and fill half of the cup with your soil. Than fill the other half with you tab water. Don't ph or anything. Now you should have a cup of half/half ratio. Mix this few times throughout the day for few min until your going to bed. At night let it rest so that the soil can sink to the bottom and the water will be cleaner. In the morning stick your ph pen in the water of the mixture and see what ph the water is at. You'll be surprised when you notice your tap water ph of 8.5 has been reduced without using ph down.

However, when you add nutrients than you want to ph the feeding to 6.5 so the nutrients are available to soil right away. Other whys the soil has to process the ph to proper levels so that the nutrients are available.
The graph i posted which shows the ph levels for nutrients is a good chart to follow

Okay I will try it. But does putting the ph to 6.7 to water the plants with help too still?

do you have a calibration solution for your ph pen? because you want to calibrate your pen every now and then.
you should also purchase a ph pen storage solution so that the probe does not fail on you

ya, sry i thought i mentioned it. 6.7 is fine. your soil will adjust it to 6.5 i think. The reason i say "I think" is because i've never used FFOF or FFHF. so, i don't know exactly what ph it will drop it too. I just know that the soil does have additives for plants for up to 3 or 6 months. it should say it on their packaging

I already calibrated it and used up the calibration solution. I will look into getting a solution. Thank you

storage solution and calibration solution are two separate things. however, i know my storage solution from amazon is at about ph 4 so if you make a calibration solution of 4 you can put some in the cap and than put the ph pen cap on until your storage solution arrives.

Put the soil into the cup and put the water I ph corrected in and will hopefully drain enough later So I can see the ph my soil is with my water that I have been giving to my plants.

lol, dont ph the water you mixed with soil? this way you can find out what it will be tomorrow
1111

also, that dosnt look soupy enough. too much soil and not enough water

Wow. Ocean forest is fine for seedlings. It is extremely important to add 25% more large perlite for drainage. It is critical to only water when pots are alarmingly light.

and the ph has been stable for me through whole grows with 100’s of plants.

and water alone will not change ph. No need to adjust the ph of most tap water.

And with transplants i veg plants with water only right through stretch in 12/12 before needing additional fertilizer.

it feeds up to 6 weeks in my experience.

I put the water that I have ph corrected into that soil so it’s dripping out the bottom and I will be able to see the ph of the two combined so I can see what I’m giving my plants. I got no idea what that is. Pebble from soil I think

Add 15-20% perlite. Water correctly, and dont transplant untill they need water daily(about 2-3 weeks) Plants thats start out healthy have a better chance of finishing healthy.
He’s running autos - I transplant autos much sooner to avoid any interruption in growth - at 3 weeks mine are ready starting preflower stretch. I transplant during the second watering 10 days ish

How do you know they are auto? Did I miss something?
