Seeds won’t germinate!! Please help

have auto seeds I ordered from mephistogenetics and they won’t sprout during the germination stage I’ve tried the shot glass and I’ve tried the paper towel in ziploc bag ..does this mean the seeds are bad?

I have them in the dark in a cabinet about 74 degrees and it’s been a week

I go shot glass a shot of hp for 24 hours then to paper towel 24 hours to rapid rooters

Keep them in the baggie until you see a tap root. We use a baggie to raise humidity up to 80 plus RH. are you using a clone rooter with stuff on it?

No I just have them in the paper towel in the ziploc bag and it’s been in the dark for over a week and no tap root yet

Heat makes it go faster but I like a little slower launch. Sometimes I got stuff to do and can not peek every 2 hours. I read journals where heat mat launches can be small worms in 12 hours.

But ya 80 goes faster too

Ok try some heat. A week is a long time.
Also you can see if anyone else here has launched your seed before. Use the search function for genetics and breeder.

Sometimes if you've got stubborn poppers you can nick the seam edge of the shell with a razor blade or scratch the seed with sandpaper. If your eyes are anything like mine, use a magnifying lens to work so you can see what you're doing. First time I tried it I didn't and guillotined them. Better to try after the soaking failed as the soaked seed shell isn't as brittle.

Throughtout my grows I try and mimic mother nature as much as I can. Whatever the spring time temps are in your area are the temp range you want to use.

When you threw them in water did they sink? Or did they float? Dead seeds get air pockets in them and float. Viable seeds usually sink.
