She is looking mighty fine. Is not adviced to plant from seed in hot soil but that doesnt necessarily mean your gonna hurt the plant, its just risky. All is looking fine so far. Wait for week 5+ to give her a top dressing, if you see the first true leaves starting to yellow a bit you can also start using it. Those leaves will yellow and fall off anyway somewhere in the near future so its okay to use them as a guide on how the plant is doing with food.
EDIT: By first true leaves I mean the ones that only have 1 tip and are serrated, but not the first 2 small round ones, those are cotyledons, cotyledons yellow fast cause they have no use after the plant has grown a bit).
Also happy new year! Ive been bussy with family meetings and stuff but Ill be looking more often from now.

Day 1 of week 5!!!!!

Lmao shit is getting bigger than I expected. INSANE! There deadass has to be someone watching over me during this grow.
I estimate I have about 4 weeks left, hopefully! I think now it’s just a matter of consistency with my temps/humidity.

My stupid ass pH meter is starting to act up. I’m praying to whoever is looking out for me that the ducking thing doesn’t give it out when I need it the most man.

I’m so fucking proud. It grew so dam quickly too?

😝😎

Good job man, youre doing great! The panel increasing the food uptake that the plant can take, certainly helped her take advantage of all the goodies in the soil! I dont even see a slight sign of nitrogen toxicity. The tips are yellowing a bit I dont remember if we already discussed that, how far is the light? Is it happening in all the plant or only the top part? If the tips yellow through all the plant might be a slight excess of PK, if they yellow on the top part might be that the light is too close, its nothing serious but something to consider because it can cause trouble in the future.

Yeah I got a up the light fr, I should really chill. I’m noticing a slight tinge to the tips. Even the tips have been “clawing” and rebounding. Like either genetics matter or I had a hand in something beyond my comprehension.

Maybe you have a green thumb hahaha. The yellowing in the tips shouldnt be a problem unless they start to dry or expand to the edges and then dry, but for that you would need to overfertilize quite a bit, or mess up the PH creating nutrient inbalance. When they wake up they might be slighlty droopy, same before going to sleep. If you search for a weed timelapse you can clearly see how they prepare to sleep before the lights go off. Curling down of the tips might also be overwatering, that would also explain why they rebound back when there's less water. How often and with how much water do you water now? Or maybe its just a little bit overwhelmed by the nutes in the soil but as I said so far seems to be pretty healthy, nothing to worry about or panic about. Also, when disaster eventually strikes and you have a bad harvest (hopefully not this time, youre doing great so far), dont get sad, even the best growers have faced those problems eventually. Sometimes is things you could have done better and you learn with time, sometimes its just seeds in bad state or bad genetics, whichever the case its always learning to get better, eventually you will need to fight a pest.

Yeah it does droop some before bed not so much upon wake up, depending on its last watering. The curling down at the tips sometimes seems like a problem sometimes doesn’t. That part kind of eludes me. So my last two watering have been with a 23.7 fluid ounce bottle (the whole bottle) I’ve pretty much worked my way up to using the entire bottle. So since the seedling stage I’ve used slightly more than the last time, up to the entire 23.7 fluid ounce.

It’s only like 2 gallons of media. I think I should of added more. I’m thinking I work my way up to 33.8 fluid ounce bottle. I also haven’t been watering till runoff. Which is kind of yikes but I don’t want to leech the bloom nutrients I had mixed in at the very bottom.

At this point the roots will have colonized most of the substrate and if not they need to expand anyway so yeah, making sure youre using enough water is also important. For that there's people that go for 10% runoff sometimes, meaning that 10% of the water you put in comes out of the pot from below. If you get to that point and you dont want runoff you just cut a few ounces for the next time.

And since flower for the most part I’ve only watered every other two days. So for example I watered on Wednesday then again on Saturday.

agreed. I backed the light off to 50% from 75%. The top most leaf blades are tinged with some kind of burn at the very tips. I don’t suspect it being a problem, cause the leaf blades from the top two tiers down don’t seem to have the “burn” as bad. simply correcting by watering more throughly, surely, should do something.

Its not a very big plant but wait a few weeks and you will see how the buds start getting fat as phuck 😄. Zkittlez are not the most productive but nor the least and the flavor makes up for it. Never planted the seedmans version but Im guessing it cant be much different, is not one of the highest yielding strains but its still very appreciated by smokers and cultivators.

I feel like it’s tall as hell for no reason. Idk man. Like looking at the seedsman picture of the plant mine looks similar in some ways and different in others. The smell is just starting to take effect. A cupcake or pastry type sweetness to it. It’s slight tho, I hope I’m not imagining it. Def switching to a photoperiod next run. Since I have the light panel I can run a photo and the other juicy zkittlez seed I have. Hopefully everything works out!

When youre working with seeds, you get diferent phenotypes, different genetics inside the same strain. Might be just that, or that it stretched when it was young cause it didnt have proper light and its more noticeable when it gets big, the distance in between the nodes I mean. Thats why many people prefeer to work with clones and its a must if you wanna do SOG (a lot of plants in small pots) because otherwise they wont be the same height and its gonna be a nightmare. Plus nobody wants to spend money in 50 seeds for 1 gallon pots, but even if they were free, people would still use clones for SOG. They come from the same plant so they all have the same phenotype. They will eat more or less the same, grow the same and yield more or less the same with consistent flavors no matter the plant.
Also yes! If you go photo youre gonna get more yield, specially if you top the plant. Mind that when you top them they will need more food tho thats why I suggested it as a meassure for the plant to be able to take more nutes from the soil without burning, but it seems to be doing fine anyway and its best not to top autos. Ive done it with mixed results, even if the auto has a 3 month life cycle sometimes they lose bud density.

Definitely that cheap ass light I got. It’s hilarious cause I bought two of those bulb type growlights and together they both totaled out to like $50.00 or $60.00. I could have just bought the panel and saved more altogether. Def gunna try this strain again with some LST.

Day 1 of week 7.

Pretty standard stuff. The pictures make the buds appear smaller. Doesn’t look like I’ll be harvesting much despite my hardest efforts. I upped the light from 75% to 100% at 15 inches in week 6 or so, really tryna speed this shit up so I can get some adequate sleep.
