They are a better alternative when growing only TOPS but yes, you can utilize the over lapping light. Also, because their spread is so great you can get them much closer to your plants then a closed reflector. Not disputing your facts regarding LI or PL, you're clearly more in the know than I am.
Being said, would an open reflector not be a better option for a space such as his? Especially running 10 lights as he proposed?
So again, to clarify.. (Just so I'm not a misled consumer misleading others)..
Assuming he wanted to run 10k in a 15x30 room (like he stated) and was not growing huge plants, would the epap open style be a better fit?
AND would 10 DE fixtures outperform 15 raptors? (Which was part of the original question). I actually don't think so now. 12 maybe but I doubt 10.
House bulb, meaning Monster Manufactures them? No, a close distributor called Illuminati sources and manufactures them. Monster Garden's has found that bulb to be the best bulb when it comes to production gardening and overhead cost.@GR33NL3AF,Ran across this post saying that genesis is monstergardens house bulb,is this true?

I get hortis for $50 out the door. What's a genesis go for?
Few things to keep in mind.@DDon
I choose these bad boys because :
Nanolux's reflector compared to the competition coverage ( wish I could see one in person ) and since it's around $400 instead of $500 per unit . Not worth it for the % and quality difference when I haven't heard anything bad about nanolux's stuff and a lot of good on previous stuff and newer stuff.
Some info presented from the maker for the fixture:
Once I receive my units and have some news to inform. It will be here & and a journal :)
