Septoria, deficiency, neither, I don’t know?

This is what I’ve got going on today. My original plan was to focus on 6 main tops and figure in a 2x stretch. But, on the recommendation to safely plan for 3x, I’ve tied them down pretty aggressively to lengthen my potential veg time and will instead shoot for…I don’t maybe 16 tops or something like that. Does my work look good or too aggressive for some reason?
You are just fine. As long as you aren’t splitting stalks or causing stress fractures get as aggressive as you like.

As far as accounting for height before flip goes, when that happens will I probably be removing these ties? And if so, will they spring up or will the main branches be pretty trained into their position?

I just keep them tied. It will save you head room. They spring up quick once you pop them off. They will be trained for a bit, they will always shows signs of the manipulation, but the stalks can get pretty straightened out if you take off the tie downs.

Found what looks like physical damage on some new leaves. Different nodes but they happen to be on the same branch. Bugs, possible fingernail wound, “normal” minor deformations?

I suppose with leaf tucking (still haven’t pruned anything) and lst, you’re gonna wind up with some misshapen leaves. Kinda makes it hard to know what exactly is the cause for some misshapen leaves.

Also as of yet I have not used any preventative sprays. I could whip up some neem spray. Probably not a bad idea huh?
No neem unless you have critters. And please if you do use it, spray at lights out.

Magnesium, Nitrogen, Sulfur deficiency or possibly just a bit of transplant shock (4 days since transplant, symptoms developed over the last 3 days)?

I still have a slight deficiency of magnesium showing. The few yellowing leaves on this plant don’t fit a pattern as far as I can detect. It’s not on brand new leaves, nor is it on the oldest leaves.

And does this look like a slight overfeeding or just normal? I was going to do a feeding when I watered again but can’t exactly discern yet from looking at the plants what it wants or needs.

I have a ? For you. Did you premoisten your soil when you transplanted them?

Yes I added bags to a big tote bin and fluffed it around really well with water. I didn’t get t “wet” but rather just mixed in enough so that the soil consistently darkened up slightly. Possibly could have done more but I think it’s pretty likely that it was sufficient.

And then when I watered them in I put 25 ounces of water in the bottom tray and about 65 ounces on top which amounts to a bit over 10% of the pot volume. Have not watered again.

Might have some dry spots in your soil. Did you ph the water you used? It’s probably some transplant shock as well. I grow in plastic pots and have only transplanted 3 plants in bags helping a friend but what I didn’t like about the bags was the amount of root damage we did even when we cut the bags in half. Compared to plastic pots the transplant shock was very noticeable. Just mho

Is it normal to bottom feed in bags after transplanting? Does it pull the water up to the root zone?

Yes I did pH the water. Although actually I may have made made the water a bit too acidic for one of the plants. I should have noted which one it was. Thanks for the response. I am going to start watering super slowly with my pump sprayer, at least for the next 1-3 waterings. I think that should help to ensure that water is getting everywhere.
