Septoria, deficiency, neither, I don’t know?

So far, I have been wrong every time I tried to guess or plan how tall my plants were going to be.

Ha! Well, I have a pretty strong feeling that they will end up shorter than I’m allowing for. I will be training tops to at least some degree until the stretch is finished, which will probably keep it below the potential maximum.

And if I’m gonna wait to prune and defoliate until day 21, am I also cool to wait to put in a screen until then, assuming I end up needing one?

I really don’t have a guess as to how tall they WILL be. I just think I have a pretty decent idea of how tall the maximum could be.

Taking cuttings tonight. Gonna use Clone X gel and put into 72 cell plug trays with my seed germination soil and a humidity dome on top. Got a new tent setup for it with an automated heat mat and a Migro LED panel.

I should be able to keep a relatively perfect environment. I was thinking to take 2 cuttings from each plant? Should be close to 100% success if I take care of them properly yeah?

Cool cool. One thing I’m not quite sure of is how much to initially wet the medium. Maybe like 70% saturation?

From just what I gather it sounds like it is the speed of pouring and thoroughness of all the medium. The best soil growers I know take their sweet ass time watering the soil.

Oh yes indeed! I’ve been watering all my pots with a pump sprayer for every watering. Takes a while but ensures even distribution.

Any thoughts on the weird leaf appearance from post 324? It’s an anomaly in the tent, but still might be indicating something?

As far as that leaf, I would just monitor that. Is it on the opposite leaf, on the other side of that stalk showing it too? Or just that one leaf?

Okay will do tonight! That sounds urgent! You think I should go ahead and switch to the 600hps or keep using the 400mh to help minimize growth for a little while?

Also, take your cuttings from the lower half of your plant. Stalks that haven’t hardened off to the degree as the most exposed parts of the plant root a lot easier. Just fyi.

Once you change the hours, you really should switch to the hps, I would just turn it down some, and let them acclimate. By the time you get to week 3 of flower I would try to have the light set on its final output %

Until then, someone said they thought my tent looked like it was gonna just be a bunch of popcorn buds. I mean I know the more tops the smaller the buds, but popcorn buds? Hopefully they are incorrect!

Yeah, no, you’re good. And truly, it depends on how and when you feed and at what clip. I’ve never had more tops yield less. Popcorn, yeah I’m not too sure about that. Sounds like they needed to bulk up their plant some.

The nutrient company recommended 825ppm twice weekly. Since my calmag is 300ish ppm, they never got more than 525 ppm worth of veg nutes. Looking back, I think 700ppm total including the calmag is as much as they could probably handle. Makes me wonder if I could have just fed them with EVERY watering and made it around 600ppm total or so. That would have resulted in them receiving more nutrients overall. Is that a sound theory?

I’m asking in order to work up to deciding on how to go about feeding in flower..

Well, I’m the home stretch thier demands will def ask for feed everytime, as long as you are drying out mostly. But yeah. You can feed less every time. I’m feeding full blast every 2ish days at this point. I’m week 7 d1 though.
